I'm getting comp version, was hoping for Move support

pixelsword5828d ago

I have the comp version, but my comp sucks lol I just use it for design projects, so I may get it on the PS3, but I like games with chapters side-by-side so maybe I'll get the PC version.

bobcostus5828d ago

God CVG is f*cking retarded.

The actual quote is...

"We don't have any plans for that in this game right now."

They never said "We have NO INTEREST in 3D or Move"

Stupid flamebait site.

CYBERSNAKE5828d ago

Where in the article on CVG does it say "We have NO INTEREST in 3D or Move"?

dkblackhawk505828d ago

Its owned by FutureUS, does that really surprise you?

Persistantthug5827d ago

But Valve is still as overrated as it's always been.

All they make are FPS's and most of them are mods....and half of their most popular ones aren't even games they created themselves...they were created by their STEAM community, of which they pilfer and cherry pick better code and techniques from.

Move and even Natal would be great for Portal....

But of course, that's tooo much work for them because their way too busy NOT making Episode 3.

Overrated....very overrated.

Gamester1015828d ago

Move support would have worked well I imagine.

JonahFalcon5828d ago

Ever tried to play a shooter with the Wiimote? It. Doesn't. Work.

ALFAxD_CENTAURO5828d ago (Edited 5828d ago )

Move is better than Wiimote plus.

Killzone 3 will have Move support, another proof you are wrong.

USEYOURFIST5828d ago

yea i agree but still would have been good to have the option
plus that move gun holder looks quite usable (£14.99 on play)

evrfighter5828d ago

have you seen the socom move demo?

am I the only one that notices the lag when he makes long movements? He can barely target enemies as it is...

rwarner1745828d ago

evrfighter,

Yes you are the only one.

evrfighter5828d ago (Edited 5828d ago )

that's unfortunate. There's gonna be a bunch of pissed off gamers and articles on the lag when this thing drops.

on second thought. The fallout would be amusing. I retract my previous statement. Move is as precise as a mouse. no lag whatsoever!

Gamester1015828d ago

@ JonahFalcon

Actually, shooters can work well with both. Regardless, Portal 2 is not a traditional shooter, and I think it'd work very well.

@ evrfighter

There have been numerous hands-on demos by reputable sites from IGN, Gamespot to Edge all claiming the Socom 4 controls are smooth, well integrated and that it has no lag. Please stop being a fanboy.

maddhatter1235828d ago

Gamester101 is right if there were probloems like you claim we would see articles talking about them like there are for kinect. everyone says tha it plays perfectly. also jonahfalcon like others have said move is a far better controller then the wiimote and the problem it has don't aply to move.

ryuzu5828d ago (Edited 5828d ago )

I've played Resi 4 and Metroid with Wiimotes as well as some on rails shooters.

The work very well indeed given the limitations of thh Wiimote. I look forward to seeing how well this kind of thing will work on Move...

Don't know what Wii you were playing - or could you just be making stuff up?

r.

Seferoth755827d ago

For shooters the Wii remote uses the IR function of the Wii remote. IN that respect Move and the Wii remote work the exact same. Anyone claiming otherwise is ignorant of how both work.

How can Move be better when it uses a camera to track a single sensor and the Wii uses a camera to track 2 sensors for more depth? . Again anyone claiming Move superior is completely ignorant of how the tech works

Cant wait to see how you kids feel when Move users are owning you duel analog users in every FPS. While I know it's not superior to the Wii remote I know it is superior to analog.

One of you is actually saying you cant point click... My 3 year old nephew can master that simple technique but you are claiming you cant?
Seriously I wouldnt admit that if I were you, but then again you are silly enough to think its a slam against the Wii that you cant grasp point and click.

JonahFalcon5828d ago

Thank God. Don't need motion control for Portal 2.

MiloGarret5828d ago

Nope, not even a little bit. I love Valve.

callahan095828d ago

You thank god that an OPTION is not available in a game for people that might want it? That's weird. A lot of people would like to have the option, and of course you would never be required to control it that way, so I don't see why you're so happy about that.

Pandamobile5828d ago (Edited 5828d ago )

That's too bad. Valve games are quite awesome in 3D.

Good luck playing TF2 in anaglyph 3D, though, everyone looks purple so you don't know who's a friend and who's an enemy :P

L4D is awesome in 3D.

Simon's Quest is better than Symphony.

djl3485391d ago

If you're gonna troll, at least make a legitimate attempt.

Levii_92392d ago

Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.

Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.

LG_Fox_Brazil391d ago

That's a pretty fucking great list

__y2jb391d ago (Edited 391d ago )

The only one I’d disagree with is doom. It shows its age badly I think. After 5 minutes of play these days you put it down.

PlayStation Move Controller Used to Perform Surgery on a Pig That Was 5,780 Miles Away

A group of surgeons made headlines after they managed to perform an endoscopic procedure on a pig located in Hong Kong by using PlayStation controllers. It involved the use of a PS5 DualSense controller as well as a PlayStation Move controller.

jznrpg599d ago

There is at least a few good jokes that could come from that title

Cacabunga598d ago

Yet another powerful device Sony gave up supporting. KZ3 move was one of the best motion controller implementation ever

just_looken598d ago

Right the ps move was awesome i have the gun thing from killzone still.

Relientk77599d ago

That's really cool. It's crazy something like that is possible with gaming controllers 1000's of miles away.

Lexreborn2599d ago

Guess that submarine should’ve used move controllers instead of logitech

Steam's highest-rated game is now less than a dollar in the Spring Sale

Jack writes: "Yet again browsing the latest offers in the Steam Spring Sale has led us to track down the very best. In terms of price to quality, we don’t think that it gets much better than this. Portal 2 is now less than a dollar, and if you haven’t got it already, now is the time to pick it up."

TheEroica808d ago

Portal deserves to be one of steams highest rated games... It's almost tetris levels of perfect game design.

TheEnigma313808d ago

It's a great game, but highly overrated. But for $1, it's an amazon deal.

Friendlygamer808d ago

Valve should bring their games to ps5

Kados808d ago (Edited 808d ago )

Gotta love Steam. Just got Portal 2 for .97 cents CAD. Should have been $1.29, selected the bundle with Portal 1 and 2, which gets a 25% discount, already have Portal 1, so it removes the cost of that, and still applies the full 25% bundle discount to Portal 2. 90% + 25% discount.

Friendlygamer807d ago

That's sweet, I've been thinking about building a modest pc to play some oldies
