It is the same as phone or Ipod that they alway upgrade more features and function and look . I only upgraded my DS to DSlite , they are choices for ppl to buy , i don't see why not, it does not mean i have to buy new one that come out. if ppl still happy to play with DS then stick with it and no need to buy new 3DS as they are still support the DS. i think its great for us gamer. but i find 3DS is great not only the 3D screen itself but graphic improvement and the games title that line up for it, wow !

You are actually wrong, they release a new hand-held every year because that's what Nintendo does. And has been doing for years. I work at a electronics department, i noticed people like having the choices of which DS they can buy. Some people who are cheap and cant afford one can always buy a DS lite. But then there are the people who want to spend more and get more quality for there money will buy the dsi/dsixl. Its really a choice of preference, and let me tell Nintendo is one smart gaming company, because of how they focused on the casual gamers. The money they made can be put to improve their games such as the difference between Mario Galaxy 1 and Mario Galaxy 2. I sold more wiis , then PS3 and
Xbox 360 combined. Im fanboy of all three consoles. There is always some good in each console out today.
