Sony DID leave out some big games, but Last Guardian and FF Versus 13 would be better suited for Tokyo Game Show. And Resistance 3 may show up at Gamescom.

doctorstrange5809d ago

I hope they show these games soon

Bobbykotickrulesz5809d ago

Man these articles are getting ridiculous.

Each one is, "Who won E3" "Sony Move Vs. Kinect" and "What we liked/what was missing"

That was good and fine when the first few articles did that. But I think I've seen this same article at least 5 other times.

HammockGames5809d ago (Edited 5809d ago )

...everybody knows these games are coming - the only question is when.

It's a pretty nice luxury to leave out heavy hitters like R3 and The Last Guardian and still have a damn fine E3.

And of course, it keeps all of us salivating in the meantime...

sinncross5809d ago

This is the strangest thing about the Big 3 conferences: Sony's disappointing areas are that they didn't show things people wanted to see, especially after a nearly 2 hour showing.

I think this bodes well for Sony at GC and TGS.
Like above posters, TLG, FFV13, new PS3 Tales and Kojima's PS3 title will definitely be better saved for TGS.

Whereas GC could be used for Eyepet 2, other SCEE offerings like 8 Days, Resistance 3, Agent and more Singstar (Dance+Guitar).

It seems like Sony can still show off more where as Nintendo and Micosoft seem like they showed everything (though Nintendo can use GC/ TGS to reveal more solid 3DS info which would interesting)

tinybigman5809d ago (Edited 5809d ago )

there are 3 video game conferences this year the games will be shown give it a f*cking already. everybody with they should have shown this, should have shown that.

how about those complaining to go for the company and make the decisions for what should be shown.

all i know is the minute i didnt see the last guardian, or FF13vs i figured they would show both at TGS only makes sense. as for R3 i remember IG said they wanted more development time to give us the best possible game ever.

the Agent wasnt shown because R* wasnt there and they probably didnt have something worth showing that wouldnt WOW the crowd just yet.

na2ru15809d ago

I don't think Jesus can give it a f*cking since he's dead.

HighDefinition5809d ago

The only game that was absent that I expected to be there was AGENT from R*.

TLG,FF13V,SOTC:C will show up at TGS.

Jaces5809d ago

TGS baby. That and Kojima announced some big MGS exclusive content for PS3....I wonder?

I believe resistance 3 will come out late 2011 or 2012. Sony is not gonna have both resistance and killzone 3 together around the same time. It would hurt the sales like it did last time.

Don't believe me look at the sales. Although Resistance 2 is a bit undertrack and so is killzone but you guys get the point.

Legosz5809d ago

Considering the horrible sales of Resistance 2, I don't think there will be a 3rd for a while.

Unicron5809d ago

It sold over 2 million. How is that horrible?

Colonel-Killzone5809d ago (Edited 5809d ago )

It was horrible because it sold very slowly and sold way less then what sony expected it to do. But there was a lot of factors to be played. First Resistance 2 was launched around when COD MW2 was released and also uncharted 2 was released around that time also. And it was disappointing because Killzone 2 surpassed resistance 2 in a couple of weeks in sales while resistance 2 was launched a few months before killzone. I'm getting both of them idc good franchises good stories. But they cannot be released near each other because some people will pick and choose. I say R2 2011 Killzone 3 2010. Although IMO 2million sales in any game is good to me. Resistance is a great franchise. But look at this logically would you have 2 of your biggest shooters released around the same time same year ?

Rich16315809d ago (Edited 5809d ago )

Dude, you have NO idea what you are talking about. Resistance 2 came out in November of 2008, while Modern Warfare 2 and Uncharted 2 came out in October/November 2009, an entire year later. Those two games didn't affect it sales at all. If anything Gears of War 2, World at War, LittleBigPlanet, and Fallout 3 overshadowed it.

Spenok5809d ago

Man its good to finally see someone else doing there homework. Its depressing how little most people actually know. However you are off a bit in your next comment. Resistance 2 came out in late 2008 and released alongside CoD WaW. While uncharted 2 was late last year close to the release of MW2.

Colonel-Killzone5809d ago

Ahhh yeah your right Im getting both the cod mixed up. Now I remember what happened. Resistance 2 sales was overshadowed by cod WaW. Because I remember when it came out around november. Then feb 2009 thats when killzone 2 was released thx for correcting me. Then uncharted 2 and cod mw2 later that year.

Donny5809d ago (Edited 5809d ago )

im grateful what sony has shown, but if i could name 5, it would be...

1. agent footage,
2.final fantasy versus footage.
3.tlg footage.
4.more socom 4 footage.
5. ps steam footage.

Ravage275809d ago

I was totally expecting both FF13 Vs and TLG to skip E3 for TGS after reading the pre-show interviews by Nomura and Ueda.

So for me it was:
1.Agent
2.SyphonFilter (what's Sony Bend doing nowadays?)
3.Echochrome2 (go watch the trailer and you will know why)
4.Resistance3
5.Socom4

Donny5809d ago

yea i was expecting resistance 3 footage as well.

arakouftaian5809d ago

Full e3 demo I record, you can also find it on YouTube.
I think I did record a really good video, well everybody in the forums are loving it.
Go check it out my same Nick name here on the forums or in YouTube.

RememberThe3575809d ago

I really wanted to see Agent. I can understand leaving The Last Guardian and FFv13 for TGS but I really wanted to see Agent. I was almost positive we would see Resistance 3 as well. But maybe Insomniac is holding back on that to work on their EA project.

Donny5809d ago

good things take time, but im frustrated too that they didnt show agent, but im sure it will kick ass.

Looks like PlayStation took a hit with Marathon and is now quietly adjusting prices worldwide to recover the losses

andy8518d ago

Lets be honest raising prices doesn't do that when no one's buying it. I imagine the profit it greater selling 10 times more at a lower price

Pergele18d ago

Whatever you say buddy, let's all wear the tinfoil hats.

IceKoldKilla18d ago (Edited 18d ago )

LMFAO Your comment alone says a lot more about you than anything else. When has one game not selling 10 million copies made a company raise the prices of their console? Then Xbox would be costing $5000 by now lol. You remind of the crazy drug addicts on the street rambling on about conspiracies. xD You sure you don't need a hug, buddy?

ChunkyMonk18d ago

One game that Sony payed $200 million for. lol
Also, you sure were quick to get triggered. Maybe your the one who needs a hug?

Eonjay18d ago

If nothing else, we should be united against the real issue here. AI and unnecessary tariffs that are effecting all gamers.

Athlon10118d ago (Edited 18d ago )

The price increases are due to the RAM demand associated with AI and the US-Iran war. You can look to any business news website and local news to see that. Heck, even the 2026 Asus Zenbook Duo I've been eyeing has faced delays and has had a price increase of $400; that laptop has two specs. Asus is doing a staggered release with per-orders for the lower spec now and shipping in May and pre-orders for the higher spec that I'm eyeing starting in June. Basically, all computer manufactures are affected. It'll most likely start affecting smart phones too if it hasn't already. I can't remember the last time any major console maker (Nintendo, Sony, Sega, etc) increased the price of their console mid cycle outside of Microsoft just to make more profit.

S2Killinit18d ago

Its not the war. Its the RAM issue.

jznrpg17d ago

War is causing gas prices to rise. Transport of everything requires gas so the prices of those items go up as well. So it does have an impact

Athlon10117d ago (Edited 17d ago )

The blockage of the Straight of Hormuz due to the US-Iran war has affected raw components used in semi-conductor manufacturing such as bromine, aluminum, and helium. Iran had attacked the liquified natural gas (LNG) plant in Qatar which is a large producer (1/3 globally) of helium which is used in semiconductor etching. So it's the both the war and the RAM crises.

badz14918d ago

Oh no...should I get the Pro now before the price increase?

I dont think that'll ever happen. But i must say back in the day, they were definitely trying because they were more cash rich than their competitors.

CosmicTurtle31d ago

I think MS were and still are the richer company. They tried to acquire Sega back in the day (and considered doing so again more recently), they obviously bought exclusivity to Halo which was originally shown as a Mac title. I don’t think as a company MS can claim the moral high ground here. It’s a wilful lack of self awareness.

Of course Sony would try exactly the same if they had the resources, but when the PS2 dominated the industry was in a much healthier place with an abundance of great third parties.

This has been a depressing generation as far as first party decisions are concerned. The fact we are debating business plans rather than which game is better is a sad reflection of the state of things.

Darkseeker31d ago (Edited 31d ago )

There was Nintendo as well, Sony wouldn't have had a monopoly. In fact, the world would be better today if Xbox never existed in the first place. They pretty much brought all bad practices we have today. We might have gotten all of it either way, but not this early. In term of franchises, I don't think there is anything Microsoft released that would actually be missed if it didn't exist. Even Halo the world wouldn't notice if Halo didn't exist.

S2Killinit31d ago

MS was definitely a bad influence on gaming.

raWfodog31d ago

I think almost everyone will agree that a monopoly is not good for the industry. But that being said, the competition needs to be smart and strategic with their business. Simply buying up publishers and traditional third-party studios just to keep them out of the other companies reach is not a sustainable practice. That goes for all parties so don't think I'm just referring to Xbox.

I'm no business guru by any stretch of the imagination but I firmly believe that the best way to drive consumers to your software and hardware is to invest smart in your first-party studios. Give them full support and guidance in making unique, fun games that are only available to play in your ecosystem and the gamers will come.

Reaper22_31d ago (Edited 31d ago )

But first party studios aren't enough. They only make up a small portion of the industry. Without 3rd party there would be no industry for Microsoft or sony.Developing games take time and money and sometimes you gotta make moves to stay competitive.

raWfodog31d ago

Nah, I never said first-party was enough. I said it’s the ‘best way’ to drive gamers to your platform. 3rd-party is a free-for-all and there’s no guarantee that gamers will use your hardware to play the game. If you want to push your own software and/or hardware you need first-party, or at least exclusive deals with third-party studios.

SimpleDad31d ago

They Shure did a great job... 25 years later Xbox is dead.

Reaper22_31d ago

Then why be so emotional and continue to talk about it. Xbox will never die be ause it stays in so many people's head.

lodossrage31d ago

How can you even see him being "emotional" in that comment?

If anything, you're the emotional one, constantly trying to go at anyone that says anything against Microsoft. So when you call him emotional, it comes off as deflection

Elda31d ago

I own an XBSX & I can say it's becoming irrelevant out of the 3 current consoles.
