Videogameszone compared Microsoft's Kinect to Sony's PlayStation Move and writes, that both controller free systems aren't very interesting for core gamers.

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

A brutal reset, a smarter story, and a return to what made it great—Mortal Kombat (2011) revived the series.
15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.

Why did Sony push Shuhei Yoshida out of his role leading PlayStation's first-party games? He'd overseen some huge successes. Well, apparently, he didn't listen.
Yeah I can see that for sure. Shuhei Yoshida should have been in charge not Jim Ryan.
More confirmation that Jim Ryan is the culprit for what has happened to Sony. Hulst needs to go too. What sucks is that a lot of the good top heads at Sony are no longer there. I wish that guys that were forced out prematurely by Dumbo Jimbo like Shuhei and Layden came back.
Makes you wonder if MS even thought about hiring him after Phil and Sarah were leaving. He certainly couldn't make their situation any worse.
All the gamer/consumer lead heads are gone across PS and Xbox. shuhei gone phil's gone (questionable) but gone. The future of gaming is somewhat uncertain across the board.
After playing Metroid Prime 3 on the Wii, I realized that this kind of control scheme can be very effective and fun for a shooter game. Hell, the Conduit was a good example of it, as well, despite that the level design was lacking. Red Steel 2, recently, is another great example. For me, Move is definitely more interesting because I'll get to play games like SOCOM 4 and Killzone 3 with it. There's a lot of other interesting stuff coming down the road, too. I can't say the same for Kinect. The only game I've seen so far that looks fun with Kinect is Child of Eden, and I honestly believe that the gesture-controls on display in that game could be done on any of the recent webcam style motion control cameras (EyeToy, PSEye, and 360 Vision Camera). There exist some interactive screen-saver type downloads on the PS Store that utilize very similar control mechanics with the PSEye, like Tori-Emaki. So for me, a "core gamer" as they call it, Move has a lot more games coming out to support it that will interest me, and Kinect has very little.
Killzone 3 has move support. How much more core do u want ?
Did he really miss the demos with Killzone 3 and SOCOM??
Not to mention that Dead Space Extraction actually looked interesting; it didn't do well because Mature games don't have a history of thriving on the Wii.
Move has got me interested up until the price point; but that's a different story...
Kinect on the other hand hasn't shown anything...so the cat's still in the bag on taht one
Socom has to be a blast with quick aim headshots Im curious. Kinect is doomed to be the same stuff without any buttons its going to lack in variety. I prefer how sony's doing it by giving you the option, notic thier games have move support and arent required etc. Very cool.At $49.99 move is a steel. If you must have the navigator and are uncapable of holding your controller in your left hand then $29 is fine. I think every hardcore gamer has a camera and resident evil gold already.
I'm a core gamer, and I LOVED playing RE5: Move at E3. I rocked that shit, and crushed shanty town pretty easily.
To me, that makes the game even more fun.
