Reach includes 'everything' Bungie ever wanted

Halo: Reach, Bungie's final game in the saga it created, features everything the studio ever wanted to do, Bungie has told VideoGamer.com.

Asked if anything has been cut from Halo: Reach, Bungie writer Eric Osborne said: "There have been no cuts. Everything made it in!"

All it lacks is a lifetime supply of tissue to wipe myself every few hours when it blows me. Really.

Conloles5813d ago

All Bungie ever wanted was to see you smiling

TROLL EATER5813d ago (Edited 5813d ago )

hope dey show the new forge. the amount of content in this game is overwelming. GREAT

HxCGamer5812d ago

thing I'm not liking about it is that they took away the 50 ranking..
why would they do that.
That ranking style is what made halo so much more competitive than the next game

byeGollum5813d ago

but does it have everything I ever wanted?

pixelsword5813d ago

Well, I'm sure it has a Halo in it, so that's like a ring...?

beans5812d ago

A ring lol. Good one.

kasasensei5813d ago

Empty news. It seems they put everything they always wanted for halo in reach, but there is not a word about all that stunning features...

saimcheeda5813d ago

for FPS perhaps? It is only a matter of time till we see that!

Kurt Russell5813d ago

It'll have plenty of content that should be standard on all FPS - Just like 3 did. Looking forward to seeing an updated forge myself :)

From all the interviews I have seen from E#, the reactions (they can barely stop themselves from smiling) of the Bungie staff when asked if we will see MC in Reach makes me believe that MC WILL make an appearance in Reach. I doubt he will be playable, but we will run into him at one point during that game.

Dorwrath5813d ago

If anything it will be right at the end, linking it to the first Halo Game.

Probably see MC on the Pillar of Autumn before it jumps. Maybe on the Legendary ending.

Munky5812d ago

You are probably right, but it would be dope if we (Noble Team) get to fight alongside him during a firefight.

m235812d ago

That would be friggin awesome if we get to fight alongside him. I think it might not because I think Master Chief left Reach as soon as the attack started, he went on a mission someplace else in space. If I remember correctly. But they have to have at least an appearance by him.

Munky5812d ago (Edited 5812d ago )

MC was never on the planet during the attacks, he was part of a 3 man team (MC, Linda, James) that stayed in orbit to destroy NAV data on a docked ship while the other Spartans made their way to Reach. But, we don't really know the timeline that the game takes place in, so we could possibly see him after the events of Halo: CE, when he goes back.

Here's to wishful thinking! Cheers!

Its neat especially since not everyone might have two friends playing it. Makes it more personal to go at in duos.

It's 2026 and basic match making features in MP games are still being drip fed to an audience that still gets excited over said basic feature being implemented.

Marathon hands-on preview | Notebookcheck

Darryl Linington from Notebookcheck.net writes: "Early hands-on time with Marathon, spanning roughly 10 hours, points to a distinctive extraction shooter with strong shell-based class design, layered faction progression, surreal presentation, and a dense UI that still needs smoothing out."

Almost 16,000 reviews on Steam currently has the game sitting on a very positive 90% Not sure if it has the player numbers but those who are playing seem to be enjoying themselves.

Putte69d ago

And as of now a 5.1 user score on metacritic. Really bad.

LiViNgLeGaCY69d ago

On Steam, you have to have bought the game, in order to play. On metacritic, ANYONE can review it. I'll leave it for you to decide which one matters more.

Trolls on Metacritic, must be a new thing or you were born yesterday

The game is really really bad. So generic boring and lifeless. UI is terrible. Bad and slow gameplay. Not sure who gives the go ahead for these games. Insane all that money companies just throw away for no reason. Nobody a asking for these games

LiViNgLeGaCY69d ago

You haven't played it. That much is apparent from your comment. Gameplay is FAR from slow and boring. I do agree the UI definitely needs to be re-worked. But then again, you're just repeating a complaint you're reading about, not actually experiencing.

MrNinosan69d ago

Can you show any proof you've actually played it, by sharing your PSN ID or Steam profile? Nah, guessed as much.

Gunplay is the best thing about the game. To call it bad is wrong. Just because it isn't a twitch shooter doesn't mean it's slow, not everything has to play the same. Everything else is generic I agree.

Flenter69d ago

Yes I am. But tell me ,with goty games do you play? Have you even played Marathon? If not ...S T F U!!
So sick and tired of the hate BS 🤮🤮
