Just looking at the design of it, we could get some really good games on this thing, that's why i'm excited about it! A lot of the big developers are on board already and I think more will come!

Nintendo never left, they always had their vision.

It's more like people as the norm just caught up... hence why the other systems needed to spend a good amount of their stage time presenting motion controls and nintendo (which people are familiar with the controls already) were able to cut to the chase and show "phase 2"... the games!

SpaceFox5858d ago

Nope, Nintendo left alright.

After Mario Kart Wii, Nintendo really started to go downhill. For 2 years they kept constantly disappointing me, but with SMG2 and all the awesome games they revealed at E3, it does look like they're back.

Nintendo left long ago, the day they announce the wii to be more precisely, sure Nintendo Fans got the First Party Support as usual, but everyone always want more, now they are back to that root...

Al Bundy5858d ago

Nintendo never left. Hopefully next year we can say Microsoft is back.

Arnon5858d ago

Agreed. Microsoft's conference was mainly about Kinect. I'm sure their events in the upcoming months will please us more. I didn't mind the Fable 3, Gears of War 3, Halo: Reach and Project Kingdoms.

Anyway, Sony did ok, but Nintendo destroyed this E3.

Crazy to think the WII is to the Switch 2, as the NES was to the WII back then. 20 Year difference.

My wife asks me to bust it out (heh) everyone once in a while to play bowling and tennis with the kids. There was a ton of slop on it but some good stuff as well.

Wii was great but boy howdy did it cause Microsoft to go on a dark walk with the Kinect and the disastrous XBox One launch that they arguably never recovered from.

Not nostalgic for me.. I was there.. anyone who wasnt a little kid realized it was a gamecube with shit tacked onto it, it was the "joke" system and was well below even the switch in terms of comparing it to the latest machines at the time. The machine was well loved by young people and "casual gamers" who now remember it 20 years on, or in most cases more of its sales came in the 15-20 years ago range not right at launch- but again its not nostalgic for people who were "gamers" then really, just for those who ended up with one in their house, the games , graphics, interface and online features were archaic already in 2006.
