The only potential way I can see someone saying MS had a good E3 is in terms of appealing to the casual market but I can't even justify that perspective. And you may be able to justify MS having a "good" E3 in the sense of appealing to casuals, but in no way can you say they "won" it.

It's clear Kinect was aimed towards casuals but we still don't know the price and I don't even know if casuals would move up from the Wii for it. So, if you want to look at it in that "business" perspective you can see Kinect from the perspective of the casual consumer, but you honestly can't tell if casuals will want it.

I can't approach the MS conference in a way where I could justify it. I know of some people that DID like the conference. The reasons being that they liked Kinect because their kids liked it. And that's fine, but really, we don't even have a price for Kinect which just makes me worried even more.

The lack of the price announcement really makes Kinect look so shady.

OK you can debate all day on if Sony or Nintendo won E3 but the one CLEAR thing is MS FAILED. They had nothing surprising and everything they showed was either known about or underwhelming.

Who gives a crap about apple. They will keep making there phones with added gaming and real gamers will continue to play PS3 Xbox 360 Wii DS PSP and 3DS.

IS E3 over? Does MS still have a chance to announce some killer news? They have until Thursday to put out some good news. Honestly there show would have been perfectly fine if they had announced 3 or 4 new exclusives. They announced 20 games the problem is 15 are for casuals.

IMO Microsoft is fighting it out with Ubi Soft for dead last. MS's show was that horrid! People say MS relies mostly on Halo and now Gears and this E3 that made that truer than ever! I am a huge 360 fan but I am still in disbelief what MS did this E3. I am still shaking my head and confused. It's like they completely lost touch with their user base.

I am more a hi def gaming fan although I own all the consoles and Nintendo had a great show but gaming on their console just doesn't interest me. I wont purchase ant of the titles from Nintendo but again they had an excellent show. Sony had a slow paced show but they showed SO MANY GAMES! At the end of the day that is what E3 is suppose to be about. So for me and my taste I preferred Sony's show most.

Aslo my opinion is Move is the best motion controller on the market (most versatile and accurate) but I really wish they would bring down the price. I will get it because I am one of those guys that has to buy all new toys.

At least I now know to ignore any articles from this lame site (tgdaily) from now on.

I watched all 3 and I gotta say, Nintendo wins in terms of pleasing their fanbase. Microsoft's was good at the beginning, but 2/3 of it was focused on Kinect, and hardly any new games (wtf?!). Sony's was overall quite good, because they actually announced new games.

But overall, Nintendo wins, I mean just look at how much stuff they announced, and most of it was core games. Sony close second though.

who the hell cares what a website thinks. if you're a fanboy of a certain system, you were super excited no matter which console you support. if you appreciate it all, maybe you were disappointed in a portion of each presentation but were excited about parts of each presentation as well.

decide for yourself if you think someone had to win. personally, i'm excited for gears 3, a new zelda, and twisted metal. beyond that, we move on.

I watched a stream FULL of Xbox 360 diehards and the groups rating at the end was a 1.F_CK YOU!!! I know...it's a new rating system...but funny as hell. The point is...they were EXTREMELY disappointed at MS and it's new found want to be casual...since they have presented themselves as THE hardcore console to have.

Not to kick a man down, they only showed 3 games, and 3 of those, only 1 will be out this year, all the others are just wii knock offs, or sony knock offs(eyepet to kinectimals for those who cant connect the dot)

As soon as the "Kinect" portion started I forced myself to keep watching hoping for some real announcements. However we all know how that turned out. Micro's final gesture of giving all participants A free slim 360 was as though they were saying "Look, we know this thing is extremely gimmicky but hey... FREE XBOX. "

everything at about this E3 between sony and ms was all pre-E3 leaked, with mostly sony having the majority.

the only company showing the highlight of new hardware was MS and it's 360 slim.

He calls Blu-Ray a mistake. Sony made a huge investment into Blu-Ray in order for it to pay for them big time later on, and it seems that it has worked. Just because they incurred losses from R&D and high production costs doesn't mean they made a mistake. They knew what they were doing.

The only thing I can fathom that is half correct is that many of Sony's showcased games will be arriving next year, but this author forgets Gran Turismo 5, which will be a major seller this year and will likely move a lot of consoles.

Also, Sony is being very competitive with Move and is showcasing a lot of core games that can play it. What is wrong with this author.

He also thinks that Nintendo's showing ranks last, which is way off base in my opinion because Nintendo actually showcased a lot of games that their core fans have been waiting for and I for one am excited about Zelda even though I don't own a Wii.

If I didn't have any of the consoles right now and could only choose two of them, based on the E3 showings alone I would be enticed to get a Wii and a PS3. Microsoft's showing was wacky and Microsoft actually shoved aside Gears 3 and Halo Reach in favor of promoting Kinect. It might be smart but it might also be dumb. I don't doubt that both of those games will sell very well, but it is kind of disrespectful to your major userbase to be like, "Yeah, here you go and watch this while we go and kiss the casuals' asses."

Nintendo and Sony kind of tied. They both showed off some amazing games, plus Portal 2 is going to PS3. Super awesome. I mean, it just seems to me that Nintendo and Sony actually focused what I love about E3, new games. Plus, there were actual announcements. Surprises. It was like Christmas.

M$ had .. not much. It was very much not like Christmas. It was like if I had two twin sisters, and they wanted to talk across the country, and make me watch them have a stupid, annoying conversation.

You guys are all being way to harsh on MS. I cannot remember any E3 where Sony or Nintendo were attacked this way. Sure they didn't announce enough for the hardcore but they have some great announcements. Oh and before I forget the show on Sunday was brilliant.

M$ just failed pretty epically this one. I only liked seeing MGS Rising, Gears 3, and Halo, and what little we saw of Fable, and the Crytek exclusive.... and that's it. That's all they had for games. It took like 20-30 minutes.

MS was hands down a distant 3rd, and you could argue Nintendo or Sony took first (although it seems the majority is leaning towards the former) but to say Microsoft took first shows just how out of touch with this subject this particular writer is (not to mention the rest off the åss-backwards drivel this guy filled the article with).
