I guess no wonder Microsoft kept on talking of $250 as the sweet spot
The only 'sweet spot' Microsoft have always talked about is 720p as far as I am aware, please link to where they have always said $250 being a sweet spot because I must have missed it.
The games listed come out near the end of August, also 24th August is when the ELITE is released in Europe therefore it would be good to reduce the price in Europe on all SKU's as well as Microsoft still hasn't officially told retailers in Europe what the price is for the ELITE so if there is a price cut it *could* mean the ELITE and the other SKU's could indeed be being reduced in price.
A $50 price cut seems justifiable, but they don't exactly need it.
At the moment, it's selling great, but they need some form of boost to throw them forward and that's where they're games come in. Just looking at Q3 and Q4 games for the 360 and each month starting August there will be 3 AAA titles coming out, though my laziness has kicked in, I'll just type two.
August: Bioshock, Blue Dragon
September: Halo 3, Eternal Sonata
October: GTAIV, Beautiful Katamari
November: Mass Effect, PGR4
December: Lost Odyssey, Ace Combat 6
There's alot more coming, I really don't have the money this holiday season, I don't even have it for all the great games coming next month lol.
I can pick up a toaster oven for $20 at Walmart that will last me ten times longer.
Elite in UK is £330
Premium is £280
Core is £190
I dont see us getting a price cut here tbh.
