Molyneux: creativity gone mad?

British game designer Peter Molyneux is, as we have come to know him, one with the big thoughts. An idealist that often, sadly, is bigger with words than with results to show for them. We all love to listen to Molyneux as he brags about his great new game, and how we get disappointed when it turns out to be not so great after all.

Fable III is the new great new game, and it sure looks interesting. Molyneux’ fresh ideas are endless. Is it all too good to be true, again?

of course it is. there hasn't been a word that's come out of his mouth that wasn't hyperbole. he keeps burning people game after game yet suckers keep supporting him. we're on fable 3 and he still hasn't made fable 1 a reality. he's a blowhard.

You ever think that people just enjoy the Fable franchise? I completely agree that he's overhyped his games in the past, but that doesn't change the fact that people play the games for their enjoyment.

He may exaggerate the capabilities of his games, but it doesn't change the fact that he still makes great enjoyable games. I love Fable and Black and White.

I like the original B&W... B&W2 missed the mark.

He knows how to woo gamers. It'd be nice if he can make an open world Fable game, but i highly doubt it. Fable that had like an Oblivion type of world would be awesome.

It's been a long time since my molyneux' favourite game, aka Dungeon Keeper 1.
Nothing was so good since...

The worst thing about E3 is it comes along with blah blah brigade of Cliffy B,Peter Mol. and Kotick.I really need to filter
these spammers.

I like Molyneux' ideas and enthusiasm. I believe that the video game industry needs more thinkers like him (as long as they keep their mouth shut until something is actually IN the game ;P).

Still have to play Fable 2, though. D:

I hope it's great but won't hold my breath. From what I've seen i expect a pile of ugly, Dragon Age Veilguard-like garbage. I hope they prove me wrong.

DarXyde199d ago

Peter Molyneux is bloody hilarious. Imagine...

Self aware enough to know he's got a history of over promising... ONLY TO OVER PROMISE BY SAYING MASTERS OF ALBION WILL MAKE UP FOR DECADES OF OVER PROMISING

What?! 🤯😂

peppeaccardo199d ago

This dude should take over Phil Spencer's job ... nobody at MS would note the difference moving forward.

CrimsonWing69199d ago

Isn’t that what you’re literally doing here?

ShwaaMan199d ago

Did he just pull a Peter Molyneux again…?
