I thought Purple Monkey Dishwasher was a good game......The hours of riding your horses trying to get to a mission target (thing) was my biggest complaint though.......

Nice to see someone else liked the sailing in Wind Waker.

...and it's so funny because yesterday I prestiged the 1st time or maybe it's second...I don't know, anyway I unlocked the buffalo. I rode around to start the challenges for the second time. Shot the 5 rabbits and got 10 headshots, then was consumed with almost an immediate sense of boredom with the online play.

I'm definitely going to finish this game sometime this year and I LOVE the fact that there is a lot to do. But like most sand box games regardless of how much I enjoy them, they are pretty limiting after a while and repetition is the order of the day.

Thank god I'm only on the second mission and just got to Mexico. I've got to make sure I am playing RDR all summer :) and waiting for the coop.

Use your bonfir... don't spend half a day riding.

Because I knew he would like the game. Sure he is obligated to say what is bad about the game and magnify it x10 but he did have some good things to say about the game as well (like how he played it for hours due to immersion). Great review yahtzee. Keep doing what your doing.

although the game is great, over all its very pointless in a lot of aspects (unless you are following the challenges) and its definitely empty, but nonetheless a great game =)

the thing that I don't entirely get is why he expects any different from a R* game, they generally are well written and generally are good looking but they've never been much more than very enjoyable time-sinks, although personally, I've probably got a bit of a skewed viewpoint because 1. I loved the story and actually cared for John 2.I love westerns so this game was like a dream come true.....
But it doesn't sound like he actually played it more than an hour or two at most, and he obviously didn't pay attention to any of the tutorials because he would've found out that there are different difficulty levels for aiming.

Still, I really have to agree on the press x a bunch of times to run fast thing. It was kind neat when they had it in San Andreas because it's a fast paced game, but it's just such a bother now with GTA IV and RDR having it because they are much slower games naturally. I've always thought that the Uncharted games got it just right, not only does Nate's move set change as a result of what's going on (so he runs in a gunfight, crouches and creeps around in stealth, walks when he's relaxed etc.) but as an added bonus, you can fire off rounds when you run around going in and out of cover, which is something that was really lacking in GTA IV and RDR. A gunfight isn't anywhere near as visceral if you can't blind fire while running, sure it's inaccurate, but with proper enemy AI you could give yourself come cover-fire and send them cowering while going from cover to cover, rather than just letting everyone unload into you as you try to aim and fire at the same time as tapping x for dear life.
