Loose Lips Sink E3 Surprises

Gaming Target writes:

"During WWII, U.S. citizens were told "Loose Lips Sink Ships." In the latest Console War, loose lips are sinking any chance the industry had of making some surprising E3 reveals."

More Sony bashing? I say it's good to leak GAME information, but not things like hardware prices. A game leak gets you hyped about it. Rumors about Natal's $150 price tag WITHOUT the fancy MTV presentation (not to mentioning knowing nothing about its games) just leaves us with one negative news item: "Wow that's double what I was expecting to pay for it." Am I right?

alphakennybody5818d ago (Edited 5818d ago )

huh?! I was sure those ps3 games were officially announced by sony themselves( except for R3) and not leaked. Plus we all already knew those games were coming anyway. Even if you would call them leaks we hardly know the full contents the games has to offer.

Brawler5818d ago

Ya I'am pretty sure as well song announced all of those to get the hype train rolling before E3

BX815818d ago

The truth is even if gamers know what is going to be at E3 it'll still be big! We want to see if for our self. I just hope there will some mind blowing visuals. I'm really interested to see what KZ3 looks like and what will MS bring other than Natal. I think MS will need to bring more than just Natal. BTW I know E3 is coming up but does anyone know exactly when?

stonecold15818d ago

for microsoft and tuesday for sony

Sony needs to remake the trilogy on ps5

CrimsonWing69549d ago

I’d rather them do a new game in the world of Resistance.

Cacabunga549d ago (Edited 549d ago )

I honestly liked the first one most..
killzone 2 and 3 outshined Resistance 2 and 3 for me in every aspect.

Eonjay549d ago

I absolutely adored Resistance 3 but they do not NEED to remake this game. They should do something that they enjoy and if it is Resistance then so be it.

Mr_cheese549d ago

Loved resistance 3, played the whole thing on co op with the move controller and gun, was very different!

Resistance 2 online was the best

gamerz549d ago

Me too, but also on a 3D tv! R3 was one of the few games that got plastic rifle panning motion right.

isarai549d ago

Such a criminally underrated series, id love a remaster collection of the trilogy.

preciousdeath549d ago

Yes! ...and make them PSVR2 compatible.

Pedrof549d ago

Not a classic in my opinion ; a pretty mediocre PS3 shooter as far as I'm concerned, not bad, not the worst of the trilogy, but certainly not great. Killzone 2 was miles ahead of it (and of most FPSs even today as far as I'm concerned).

pwnmaster3000549d ago

Naw man.
Resistance 1 will always be GOATed for me.
I remember playing all night on multiplayer. Such a fun game.

P_Bomb549d ago

Ah yeah, R1! I cut my teeth on the one-shot Walmart map, lol! Miss that.

gamerz549d ago

Played that demo soooooo many damn times since it was the only thing to play for a while at launch. That and motorstorm.

refocusedman549d ago

killzone was amazing but resistance was great as well. althpugh theybwrre both fps, I think that served different purposes.

JEECE549d ago

Thanks for turning Insomniac into a Marvel studio.

ApocalypseShadow549d ago (Edited 549d ago )

Although I agree on original games and creativity over licensed IP, especially something like Ghost of Tsushima. But Sony's looking at that series selling less and less overall with the 3rd estimated to not even sell 2 million. Gamers who say they loved it didn't really buy it.

While Spiderman the series has sold over 50 million not counting PC. And Spider-Man 2 is over 11 million so far. If you had their business and had to make their decisions, what would you do in their shoes?

JEECE549d ago

@ApocalypseShadow

Umm, that's exactly my point lol. Insomniac made great, original IP games and people didn't buy them because they were too busy lapping up yearly CODs and Assassin's Creeds, so naturally Sony/Insomniac had to pivot to something else.

Knushwood Butt549d ago

So you are saying 1 was the worst?
I respect your opinion but strongly disagree.

I'll start with what I didn't like about 3:
- OK, Nathan Hale is gone but new player character totally forgettable. Can't even remember their name.
- Awful forced in 3D. Just look at KZ3 for 3D done well.
- Online multiplayer that paled in comparison to 1 and 2. Put hundreds of hours into the first two. Probably less than 10 hours into 3.
- Campaign was OK but I played the other two more, especially 1.

Pedrof549d ago

1 had my favorite gunplay of the trilogy (no need for COD iron sight) so I guess my worst would be 2. At least 3 wrapped up the storyline, supported the move controller and had prettier graphics. But in my book, none of the three really stood out. From that era, I prefered Singularity for example and obviously Killzone 2.

I wish they'd bring back the Resistance 2 multiplayer. God that co-op was so much fun.
