it was never about hardware specs or built-in software in the first place. Remember the first iPod? It was inferior in terms of feature set to everyone of the mp3 players out there. Same thing with the first iPhone. People keep harping on features. Throwing more and more features into a phone to me is a lack of understanding of the consumer and what they primarily value. Apple still has every manufacturer including Android/Google beat in spades in this regard. They understand what it is 99% of the consumer wants, stability, ease of use, and ability to connect to someone you care about without hassle.

You know what? Forget what I posted above. My point above is simply this:

Almost all the features the new iPhone has, Android had in most cases before it. So what Apple brings to the table is not new and its going to look old real fast once the newer Android phones come out before this year is done.
For you obviously the new iPhone is a great choice for an update...i am just saying that the New Iphone is not inventing anything new here and is actually playing catch up to Android for the new features it just got.
The one thing I do like is the new Screen for the iPhone and the gyroscope feature for games. But other than that, nothing else is "new"

Notice how he doesn't talk about how Tethering and Flash kills battery life or the fact that Flash isn't even ready to be deployed on handsets. Steve was right to block that garbage from getting on this phone.

That's kinda where I'm at right now.....personally, this goes down to whether I want AT&T or Verizon....if I know a couple things about the Incredible let's say.....

1) Do androids sense touches as well as the Iphone does....I guess how easy is it to use the touchscreens and android platform

2) Does it do music? I could probably make my 1st gen iphone an ipod until it dies but just wondering and how well does it do music?

I like the voice turn by turn GPS....that's a major plus so I don't die trying to look at directions but I'll just figure it all out. really it should come down to whether I want Verizon or AT&T more
