The deepest pleasures of Above come from juxtapositioning. Axolot’s one-'button' iPhone game takes a very simple idea, and lavishes it with an art style of pretty intricacy, piling on the visual detailing while the game stretches the same basic mechanic over levels that can take a quarter of an hour to play.
