Elder Scrolls V To Be Announced At E3?

Abstract360.com Writes: "According to the most recent issue of Famitsu some companies still have many surprises planned for E3. Electronic Arts, Capcom, Konami, Square Enix, Sega, and Ubisoft among others confirmed that they still have unannounced surprises. One thing that stands out is Bethesda, who listed “secret” under their surprise category, and with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion having been released March 20, 2006, the next installment in the franchise is overdue at just over four years since the last game. This would not be unsuspected as an issue of Official Xbox Magazine years ago reported that the next installment should release sometime around 2011."

I really hope this happens, cant wait for the next Elder Scrolls. Around 100 hours into Oblivion.

It was the game that got me into RPGs.
After a while I started thinking about how empty the game world actually was and how great it would be if it had multiplayer which is what lead me to search for MMORPGs and ultimately spendingn 2 to 3 years playing WoW.

Can't wait to get stuck into another Elder Scrolls game.

I know how you feel. It turned me into an RPG-lover as well. Now, my favorite games are all pretty much RPGs. In other words, Hell Yeah. Bring on the next Elder Scrolls.

Conloles5755d ago

My heart tells me no, my brain tells me YES!!

DA_SHREDDER5755d ago

I got at least 200+ hours in both Morrowind and Oblivion. I hope this is true.

sandip7875755d ago

probably half that time just trying to kill the annoying fan!

Immortal Kaim5755d ago

I will always remember the Oblivion as the first 'next-gen' game I played. I recall being slightly disappointed with the graphics when you started out in the sewers, it just didn't do it for me. The moment I stepped out of the sewers... it was just like "HOOLLLLYYYY SHHHHHIIIIITTTT" the world just opened up with beautiful landscapes...

Not sure about this rumoured announcement though, I would have thought Bethesda would wait for the 'next gen' to release ES5, so they get another one of those HS moments?

TrailerParkSupervisr5755d ago

If they announce ESV at E3 I will, all at one time, 1) Crap my pants. 2)Have a small stroke. 3) Drop whatever I am holding. 4) Immediately check the vacation calender on my works FTP site and request the week of release off.

Morrowwind and Oblivion are hands down my favorite RPGs. I have spent hundreds of hours. When I lay in bed at night I hear the music that plays when a room is loading in Oblivion....

NumeroUno5755d ago

I still try to play Oblivion sometimes but I've beaten the game so many times, I even know what the characters are going to say half the time o_O

So yes, please announce a new Elder Scrolls!

sid4gamerfreak5755d ago

BossKamikaze5755d ago

I really REALLY hope this come's true!

Dramscus5755d ago

Damn I'd have to buy another pc. Unless they opened the console versions up for mods.
That would be epic.

Becko5755d ago (Edited 5755d ago )

Best RPG ever for me was Oblivion, second place Xenogears, third place FF6

I so really hope they announce Elder Scrolls V on this E3

"We all have strong opinions within the studio" – Microsoft

Microsoft are telling the world that the sooner we all switch to using generative AI tools in our day-to-day lives, the sooner we will 10x ourselves. Yet the corporation are still only finding haphazard pick up by videogame developers, including some of their own studios.

Good, I hate the Idea of these corporations trying to put people out of work. I honestly think we need to all start speaking up on the issue before things start getting bad.

Reaper22_42d ago

I agree but we also need to do that with other corporations. Not just in gaming. But I also fell that its inevitable because its all about the bottom line which is the almighty dollar.

Abnor_Mal41d ago (Edited 41d ago )

What happens when people are out of jobs because of AI and robots being capable of doing the work of a human in less time and with out breaks. How will the corporations make money when the ordinary man is jobless and cashless unable to buy what the corporations are selling. How will it affect the corporations bottom line when they themselves put the working force out of work.

Trying to type fast before my phone resets.

rlow141d ago

well if we all feel its inevitable then it will be. I agree its just not about gaming, but its a good place to start.
