ModNation Racers is really good in customization but the racing itself sucks dog shit man..

The physics just don't feel right & it all just feels so clunky & unpolished especially in the ModSpot where it's all laggy. Don't get me wrong though.. It is fun creating Mods & vehicles... for a while but then even that starts to get boring eventually. Loadtimes are complete horse shit also lol

There aren't alot of players online either so you hardly get into any races with lots of players in 'em.. :(

Blur on the other hand has an intense online MP experience. It's as deep as Modern Warfare 2's MP with challenges & badges to unlock.. & whatnot. Superb sense of speed

hmm haven't tried blur and played the split second demo, it was a bit underwhelming but its just one track.

But ModNation Racers beats both of them.

After playing demo a few times, i felt that it got to be that good. Many of my buddies got that game and still playing it.

I bought Split Second, few days ago and i think its pretty good.

I have no interests in Blur as im stick of tired of "collect power up" games. That's why i have no interests in Modnation Racers or Mario Karts.

(btw - i played ModNation Racers beta few months ago and i didnt like it.. Sorry folks, thats my opinion. Don't let my opinion make you stop getting Blur, MNR etc)

Split Second has some crazy set pieces during the races. split screen with mates is jokes. Not sure about Blur though.

You guys seem to throw in the fact that Modnation is better. You have to realize though, Modnation is on another level with it's customization. Plus it's exclusive so not EVERYONE got a chance to play it. As for MaximusPrime, it isn't your average power-up. Just try the demo, it just got released today for all gold members. But, as always I respect all comments! I still have to say Blur. No doubt, Split/Second is fun, but it just doesn't carry the long-run fun factor like Blur does.

blur is great but i like split second better because the concept is great plus its more intense.

Haven't played Blur yet, had to have SS and MNR first. Take that for what it's worth. PS: Bring on Man Furismo Jive.

Initially I thought Split Second was gonna kick Blur's ass, but it turns out that Blur ( for me anyways ) is a little more fun and because of the power ups, make the races play out differently every time. There's only so many times you can crash the same airplane, blow up the same bus, and destroy the same reactor before it get stale. ( funny that, you'd think not ) Blur is very fast and really clean. I hope it does well enough to warrant a sequel. Blur=B. Split Second=B-.

Both are great driving games and should be played, for offline I'd say Split/Second yet for online I'd go with BLUR.

Thats just my opinion though.

Firstly, that article was dogshit. A couple of paragraphs and suddenly your on N4G.

SS for me is easily, easily the winner. So much more intense, and you have to drive a perfect race to win against the faster cars. Blur handles like crap, the graphics of the tracks in particular are bland, and the AI is cheap and seems intent on screwing you over.

I've had more fun in a few weeks with SS then I had in 2 years of Burnout paradise. I much prefer the linear courses, they feel more direct and structured, the modes are entertaining and fresh, and the game runs beautifully well.

As always, different strokes for different folks, but SS for me everytime.

Agreed, I have not played Blur yet but in Canada they are charging 70 dollars for that game!

SPlit second was 60$ and well worth it.

They both look like dookie from where i stand.

Bought both, enjoying Blur more. Technically it's considerably more impressive. Gameplay especially with 20 cars is very intense.

im broke from god of war 3, uncharted 2, heavy rain, just bought killzone 2 so no money for any of these games. wasted my money on MW2. Rented blur its fun online but the career sucks, its almost impossible to get 1st on career even when im kicking ass and not wrecking. played the S/S demo and it was meh, but i play the MNR demo more than blur, lol. I love that game, upgrading weapons is the shit and i like being able to boost as much as u want as long as u keep drifting and attacking enemies etc. buying MNR for sure. blur will have to wait. some of the weapons in blur suck donkey balls, the pink bolts are useless and the shunt is probably the only good weapon, the mines too as u can throw them forward. sorry for my grammer typing this on my ps3.

I'll get both when I can find them for under 20 bucks- just wished they supported the force feedback steering wheel...

Out of those two, i'd get blur.

I got MNR for Two reasons.

A: I like racing
2: My son likes racing.

Mod spot is laggy when you get there for the main reason, it's being updated all the time, with people coming and going.

Racing is not laggy at all, i've won a few xp series and it's excellent fun.

Hitting targets infront or dropping bombs behind,or smacking them when next to you. Then you got the drifting, Once you get it down it's very rewarding.

Career mode is sweet, online is even better.

It's worth the money.

Demo is good, but in terms of tracks, oh there's so much more.

Between Blur and Split Second i definately believes that Blur is better in all ways possible. Split Second could have been but it failed, i just tried the demo but i bought Blur.

MRN is medicore at its best and yes i have tried it unfortunately i bought it to but i guess i will soon trade it in.

Blur is fast and tense, cars and environment are close in/zone in, it has very nice online match and rank system.

SS on the other hand, has much bigger environment, therefor the cars on the screen aren't as close as Blur(best examples/comparison I could think are COD and BFBC)However, the environment can be destroyed and route can be change mutiple times in a single race(that's how you take out the opponents)

Both games are fun to play, to me SS offers more, it last longer too,I pick SS.

but in multiplayer terms Blur seems the clear winner here but i prefer the SS gameplay concept way more.

The Xbox division has not listened to the customer since the 360 days. Ever since Kinect, Microsoft has been about selling us what they want and trying to tell us it’s what we want rather than actually selling us what we are asking for.

Microsoft does have a history of running things into the ground simply because they don't innovate or give products breathing space. I fully expect in the long term they will manage the same with Call of Duty and will kill it, just as they killed Halo and Forza and many other IP's over the years. This also extends to things like windows phones and such. They just were not competitive and did not listen to consumers.

Battlefield has beaten Call of Duty in players number not in sales maybe but in players

If they're going to do stuff like MW3 and BLOPS 7, at least make the campaign split-screen co-op. The way the maps are structured there's no reason not to, and it just adds value to a game that's short on it as it is.
