I have to agree I put hours on the Halo 3 beta and it does look like Halo 2 with better graphics thats it. I wouldn't pay no $65 for a game thats gonna be practically the same as part 2. Now on the other hand Haze is gonna be a first-person with a gameplay thats gonna be real serious. The graphics look so real I mean real looking. I know its only the trailer but come on Halo 3 do not look as good as Haze. HANDS DOWN!!! All I gotta say is that all you 360 fans almost s****d in your pants when they said Haze was gonna be exclusive for PS3....this year. Still 360 gotta wait for Haze though.

Haze looks awsome, for sure and halo3 as well. I see no point hating on the developers of Halo 3, we all know they are working to make it one hell of game for us. If you got anything to say, say when the final game comes out to us. Until then don't give crit to them.

Personally, I thought Haze looked great and anything besides ordinary. Also, how is the idea of a stimulant drug far fetched? I mean, even if it was over the top and far fetched, it is a fictional storyline within a video game. Why would that matter? I thought the idea of a multinational corporation using a PMC force with enhancing drugs sounded rather realistic for a semi-futuristic shooter.

Anyone notice how much the mood changed for this game after it became a timed PS3 exclusive?

I've been looking forward to this the moment I learned Free Radical was making a new FPS. It looks good and I think it'll play really well.

I don't think it'll be a Halo killer, but I don't think a game has to kill Halo to be good. Personally, I think Halo is about to kill itself. The aesthetic choices they made last generation don't seem to be aging very well.

halo 2.5 or halo hd, whatever you want to call it will sell a lot of copies and be overrated like every other halo does

nothing will ever be a halo killer unless it makes more sales than halo 3 will come this september, and nothing won't. except maybe gears of war 2.

My biggest problem is with the devs. They seem very full of themselves. They are overhyping their own game.

the story of Halo 1 was amazing, they tried to pass halo 2 as the game that tops halo 1. in terms of story halo2 sucked, it's multiplayer was what sky rocket it to the top. and halo 3's beta and even the new trailer and new showing at e3 left many underwhelmed by it. if for one the graphics don't scream 360 power at all, not like Mass effect or dare i say Call of Duty 4 which has been in development about the same time if not shorter time than Halo 3 for the 360. Halo 3 will sell hordes but i really feel bad for bungie because i have a gut feeling that this game will fail to live up to everyones expectation. and i think in my opinion halo 1 offered the best of the package. if they can do the world and make halo 3's story every bit as good as 1, and improve on the multiplayer that halo 2 excelled in. then halo 3 will be great. but already the beta was a let down. and the graphics compared to everything thing i've seen, with COD4 being the most impressive game to date for the 360 kills it. personally
i think many should just skip halo 3 and move straight to COD4 because what was shown at MS's press con and the announcement that the 360 has the Beta exclusively, only cements what i've said and puts a huge dent in what halo looks like. COD2 was excellent on the 360 and the same creators who made COD2 is doing COD4 and have come leaps and bounds over everything seen on the 360. halo will only kill in sales but nothing else. i think COD4 is 360's shooter or game of the year this year, heck it may even be the PS3 game of the year for this year.

during the PS3 era how many bad games, and studios were shuttered during that era. you get nothing but rose-colored/ perfect hindsight about that now...

Haze broke me. I was such a massive fan of Timesplitters that I didn't believe for one second they could make such a generic, sub-par game. It even had a couple of neat ideas, but nothing that could save it from utter failure.

I learnt a harsh lesson from that game.
