PCN Review: Alpha Protocol

PCN writes: "As a western RPG fan, I was really looking forward to Alpha Protocol because it was marketed as a Mass Effect-type game, and while it is similar, it is not exactly the same. The self-proclaimed espionage RPG is in simple terms a cross between Splinter Cell and Mass Effect, but is it any good?"

This is already out in EU so I got it, and it's kinda boring imo. I thought it would be like Mass Effect but it is no way as good, though it is similar, so those without a 360 or decent PC should check it out.

I think I'm just going to rent it and wait for New Fallout

Yeah I WAS looking forward to Fallout New Vegas because Fallout 3 was awesome, but imo they did a bad job with this so I'm gonna wait for the reviews of the game first. Although I know that Obsidian are the original Fallout Devs.

One of the few 7th gen game that I'll full heartedly support for a remake.
Its a very unique RPG and deserves its faults fixed the 2nd time.

I would be so for this. Alpha Protocol is the definition of a diamond in the rough. Before being acquired by Microsoft, Obsidian presented their ideas for a sequel, multiple times, but were always shot down. Even something simple like a remaster is very unlikely.

Still have a physical copy for my PS3. Clunky at times but I had a lot of fun with it back in the day.

Had some issues but that game was brilliant.

Incredible story.

SheenuTheLegend808d ago

all the games in the above list are bang on. this is the only reason we need backwards compatibility and physical presense of games for the upcoming future, no matter what.

Honorable mention to the excellent Driveclub, one of the best racing games of all-time and one of my favourite games ever.

melons809d ago

yes! incredible rain effects; so good to drive along in rain with your Spotify playlist blaring

Skuletor809d ago

I really wanted a MotorStorm using the same engine, Driveclub is easily one of the best looking games on PS4 and I'm surprised they didn't even give it a PS4 Pro patch.

ravens52808d ago

Yes indeed. May just install it on my PS5. You know, physical copy and all.

monkey602808d ago

I adored Driveclub and the Bike expansion. I also loved Motorstorm. Evolution shutting down was a crime

Outrun Online Arcade, Sega Rally Online Arcade, After Burner Climax... all good stuff. I keep my 360 hooked up to play these as well as the TMNT games that were also delisted.

Skuletor809d ago

I have quite a few of these. Timed licenses suck.

Terry_B808d ago (Edited 808d ago )

wow...I have all of them except the Nintendo ones either in physical or digital version.

Also..Deadpool the Game is missing on that list.
