double check whether you know how to review a game or not. game is far from a 10, get a clue kiddo and try again

N4GAddict5849d ago

It is the reviewer's opinion.

hamoor5849d ago

Alan wake is very underrated in my honest opinion

Eddie201015849d ago (Edited 5849d ago )

Very overrated by this reviewer. I would say it deserves an 8, one because it is very short two because it just does not feel like a triple a tittle.

Metascore is 83, User score is 90 and there is only one perfect score listed on Metacritic. I agree with the Metascore and yes I have the game and have finished it.

Convas5849d ago

If you don't like Alan Wake ... why the hell are you in an Alan Wake Review Topic?

GTFO Troll. Your opinions don't matter to anyone.

Dread5849d ago (Edited 5849d ago )

I personally love this game

it is fantastic and it really is a pitty that the fact that it has been in development for so long has tarnished the game's reputation (i dont get that, why does it matter) I mean is GT 5 going to be judged differently just because of the amount of time it was in development? It should not

Anyways, I don't think the game is a 10 (very few games are), but i'll give this one 94 at least. One of my favorite 360 games of all times. Great job Remedy!

Thanks for stopping by.

N4GAddict5849d ago

He wasn't the only one who gave it a perfect score...

N4GAddict5849d ago

I think Alan Wake is somewhat underrated by the critics. I liked the game a lot.

Dread5849d ago

me too

for some reason the fact that it was in develpoment for so long affected its rating. I dont get it. What has length of development have to do with gameplay? NOTHING

Sez 5848d ago (Edited 5848d ago )

Watch the same reviewer give GT5 10's all across the board and it's been in developement for the same amount of time or longer. I'm calling it now lol

T9X695849d ago

To bad the hype from a bunch of other great games launching around the same time as Alan Wake, killed the games sales. From what I hear its only sold around 200,000 copies which is pretty bad. I still want to play this game though, just don't wanna drop $60 on it after I just bought RDR and UFC.

Crazay5849d ago

Hey T9, I also dropped $$$ on UFC and RDR, but I had to get this game so I bought the Collectors Edition. If you're unsure, why not try renting it for the weekend then deciding if it's worth your $60? I think it is.

Karooo5849d ago

Its one of the best games this gen.

Crazay5849d ago

I loved this game immensely. I'm extremely excited to see what comes next.

A Late Look: Alan Wake

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "All in all, it’s not hard to see why Alan Wake has received a bit of a cult following (there’s that famous foreshadowing again). It’s a title that blends themes and gameplay, while pushing the limits of storytelling by putting stories within stories and letting you read those stories before you get to that part in… the story. It has flaws, to be sure - the gameplay side can’t quite keep up with the rest of its ambitions - but overall it’s a great game that stands out among its peers and is undeniably… one for the books."

Kind of a goody story...

On a serious note, that is why I try activating gift cards asap. It's happened to me where the store didnt scan it right where the card was unusuable. Happened at Wally World.

gigoran8777d ago

wait, that place is real? national lampoon wasn't kidding?

jznrpg189d ago

People sometimes call Wal-Mart Wally World including myself

Tacoboto776d ago

I just bought two of the MonsterVerse Godzilla movies on 4K - both had digital copies expiring in 2023. Both were actually expired.

I'd be surprised but it's WB, of course they'd actually expire them

Knightofelemia777d ago

Usually most of those redemption card have an expiry date on them. If they expired all buyer did was buy recycled paper. And some of those codes are country locked to certain countries. I buy a card from the States I can't use it in Canada.

Chocoburger777d ago

Dumb and silly story. She wasted her money for no reason.

Is it really that hard to go to Steam or GOG. She spent $240, when its currently 70% off on GOG, and only costs $4.49.

Gee, I wonder, should I spend $240 on eBay, or $4.49 on GOG? 🙄

Rynxie777d ago

Most likely she wanted to resell a few or most of them. However, it was a too good to be true situation.

Profchaos777d ago

So in short she paid $240.00 assuming usd for a bunch on unactivated game codes.

I still don't understand why I guess cause there's not a physical version and she wanted something for a collection or art project.

Rynxie777d ago

No, most likely to resell. However, she ended up getting screwed.

Asplundh777d ago

This is Alan Wake 1, it had physical copies.
