Clive Barker's Jericho Hands-On

Currently scheduled for release in September, Clive Barker's Jericho is a squad-based first-person shooter in which you'll be tasked with destroying an ancient evil that's threatening the world in multiple time zones. Time travel and Barker-inspired visuals aside, Jericho's most distinguishing features are the different parapsychological abilities that each of the squad members use in tandem with their more traditional weapons. Gamespot has been putting some of those abilities to good use in a six-level Xbox 360 demo of the game recently, and they've come up against some pretty horrible enemies while doing so.

I think this game has some potential but I am still concerned about the darkness seen in some screen shots..

Top Steam Games Under Five Dollars: Our Recommendations

SteamFirst: How often do you log onto your Steam client and see in the top right corner your wallet balance with only a few dollars left. Oh how I hate having Steam cash just sitting there going to waste. There are always some excellent FTP titles available such as Team Fortress 2, Warframe and DOTA 2, but sometimes you want to branch out from free to play. This article is a list of my personal top 5 Steam titles that you can spend your last five bucks on.

I'm sorry, but that's quite a poor list. IMO.

Moncole4504d ago

Its called an opinion. Everyone would have a different list.

ThatEnglishDude4504d ago (Edited 4504d ago )

I've never understood why people feel the need to state that. No shit it's an opinion. Does saying this somehow make my opinion less relevant? No.

Almost everything on Steam is poor.

I wish more people would admit it something we all know deep down.

There are hundreds of meh games, mediocre at best, and virtually zero triple AAA games that make you go wow.

Steam sucks in all honesty.

If you disagree with me, you must link a decent new game on Steam.

If you disagree without linking, your gpu will overheat and die within the next 2 weeks.

OK Metal Gear Rising came out on Friday and not only is it good but from what I have played it is quite the solid port.
You are trolling but I want to mention this game because Platinum deserves some recognition on PC so more of there games come to the platform and I want MGS (that won't happen though)

webeblazing4504d ago

why do ps fanboys troll every article on this site.

Volkama4504d ago

I was excited to buy my new consoles, but 2 months in and the only thing I still "play" is XBox Fitness. When I'm done with that I switch on my PC where I have a quite overwhelming list of games queued up to play.

Coach_McGuirk4503d ago

@dsswoosh - it's that type of mentality that stagnates our beloved industry. "If it ain't AAA, it ain't good". Means that people just buy the same old games, meaning publishers don't take risks. PC is where you go if you want something fresh and new.

dantesparda4503d ago

@ webeblazing

You mean like you troll every Sony article? oh thr hypocrisy

Imo Dota 2 tops everything out there right now and its free. Sure it has items you could buy for the game but those are purely cosmetic.

I personally love the Glados kill announcer in dota 2, hilariously funny.

SteamFirst4504d ago

Ahh, yes. My next article which is pending is my top 5 free to play and dota 2 is number one. This is inexpensive, but not free games. Feel free to comment and suggest other titles which you prefer. We all have our own opinions. Right.

I got Half Life 2 for under 5 bucks. An oldie but a greatie.

SteamFirst4504d ago

It is a great one. This list is of best $5 games when not on sale. But agreed. Half Life is great

I just downloaded the Steam App last night for the first time. WOW. I cant believe what I've been missing. The Mods alone make it so much better than console. And with the Big Picture mode it plays just like a console. The dashboard is actually better than X1 or PS4. I just ordered a GTX 670 graphics card so I can rock the Skyrim upscaling mods. I had no idea what I had been missing.

hiredhelp4504d ago

Plus the savings johnny every saving you make is saving off your 670 ;)

SteamFirst4504d ago

The app is amazing. Just another great part of being a Steam gamer.

webeblazing4504d ago

you mean the os. i maybe try it later closer to the end of the beta. you if you mean the phone app, yes i can chat with people on my friends list and buy stuff on sale while out of town and even have it download to my pc. steam keeps improving as time goes by

Volkama4504d ago (Edited 4504d ago )

You think it's good now? Wait til you see a Steam Sale in action. It may just blow your mind.
