IGN writes: "Like the Xbox Live Arcade versions of Doom and Wolfenstein 3D before it, Doom II is a blast from the past that remains fun today. The entire package is terribly dated, but running around blasting demons into splatters of pixelated blood is quite satisfying. Unlike many retro offerings on XBLA, the visuals haven't been tampered with here".

These are the best Easter eggs in video games—from Atari to Elden Ring. Hidden secrets, surprises, and scandals await.
Saving some trapped aliens in Super Metroid and seeing them escape. Daisy's third eye in Melee. Seeing Mario characters portraits in a window at Hyrule castle. Megaman X using Ryu/Ken's movesets in mutiple entries. Bayonetta cosplaying as Fox McCloud while using an Arwing to kill angels and demons. So many good ones throughout the years.

BLG writes, "Plug in your electric guitars and start shredding; we’re making a list of the DOOM games ranked.
Trying to decide the best DOOM game is like deciding who your favorite child is. You love every one of them, imperfections and all."

For the first time since 1994, John Romero has given DOOM II fans a new level. The level is a product to provide support to Ukraine. 100% of the proceeds from the level will go to Red Cross and the UN Central Emergency Response Fund.
Actions that are actually doing something to help. That's really cool. Refreshing to see this after the armies of companies do their grandstanding me-too do-nothing support message online for all to see.
honestly this still could be my favorite game of all time...still have the DOS CDrom, original box, and Ed Dille strategy guide that i got for Christmas in '94...I was 11...
at 27 years old now...there are few things from my child hood that I recall giving me as much excitement as the first couple minutes of that game...I to this day remember slinging a bfg glob from the platform in the first level (i was 11, of course I idkfa'd that shat as soon as it loaded)...with 3 zombies all getting puddled...the look on my face must have been priceless...my dad to this day still asks me if any games make me react like that anymore...if any have, I didn't catch it on my own...
Really?...while it may have been a super kickass game twenty years ago but c'mon!..IGN is a joke!
