It should be a relatively easy task to best MW2s lagfest/glitchfest, but this is Activision we're talking about.

All it will take for people to realize it is for Respawn to release a game. Everyone knows that non-Infinity Ward CoDs aren't as good as the one's produced by IW. Now that Infinity Ward is no more, CoD will slowly circle the drain for a few more years until Respawn releases their new IP.

I wonder what'll happen when the COD4 engine gets old...? It's probably not like Infinity Ward are going to make a new engine, most the lead devs left.

the trailer looks great i hope the gameplay matches it mw2 was good but a bit of a let down i hope this one corrects the mistakes they made i hated world at war especially those damn dogs

This is the first console CoD I am going to skip since Cod2. This feels exactly like the Medal of Honor series where the first couple kicked ass then they got progressively more mediocre. This will definitely be a skip if for nothing else that I despise what Activision is doing to gaming.

I love MW2 and it is currently my fave online game to play. I do think it can be bettered by Treyarch though. I think the actual setting for this game will compliment how the game plays VERY nicely. I'm glad it's not WW2 again :D

gets rid of their traditional grenade spamming, little dot soldiers that shoot you from across the map with a pistol that I can't see with a sniper rifle and Psychic A.I. that always seems to know where you are even when flanking crawling in six foot grass. And lastly invisible walls.

Those would be a good start.

It's got dedicated servers, so that already means it's about 10x better than MW2.

The Xbox division has not listened to the customer since the 360 days. Ever since Kinect, Microsoft has been about selling us what they want and trying to tell us it’s what we want rather than actually selling us what we are asking for.

Microsoft does have a history of running things into the ground simply because they don't innovate or give products breathing space. I fully expect in the long term they will manage the same with Call of Duty and will kill it, just as they killed Halo and Forza and many other IP's over the years. This also extends to things like windows phones and such. They just were not competitive and did not listen to consumers.

If they're going to do stuff like MW3 and BLOPS 7, at least make the campaign split-screen co-op. The way the maps are structured there's no reason not to, and it just adds value to a game that's short on it as it is.

Call of Duty can die only by killing itself. This can happen to any franchise and happened to Medal of Honor which ironically was created by the original team that made Call of Duty.
