Scratch: The Ultimate DJ was all set to compete against Activision's DJ Hero, but major legal issues delayed the game significantly. Now, the game has resurfaced -- in a form that doesn't use the high-end turntable controller. Numark (managing partner in Scratch DJ Game LLC) announced versions of the game for iPhone, iPad, and PC, due "later this year" -- which constitutes another delay, from the game's previous "spring" date.
The previously announced console versions of the game are not mentioned at all in the announcement, save for an oblique reference in the description of the Scratch Deck controller: "Additionally, Numark has developed a new full-function dual-turntable controller that enables players to manipulate both turntables simultaneously, which will be available for use with the game on a variety of platforms." While the PC may be one of those platforms, it's a safe bet that the controller isn't designed for use with the iPhone or iPad.

This list takes a look at ten cancelled video games that make you wonder why anyone thought they were a good idea in the first place. From gimmicky titles relying on underpowered technology to horrifically weird ideas with bizarre premises, it’s probably a good thing that these awful-sounding games never saw the light of day.

Noble Press: I am not one for gamer centric devices. What I mean by this is I hate case lights, I despise ugly mice, and I cannot stand terribly designed hardware and finish. So naturally, coming into this review the Maurus had many points against it before I ripped open the packaging. The Scorpion on the Maurus was a bit much for me but I learned to get over it. My objective point of view, possibly bias in the respects to my harsh feelings about exterior design, was a good stance for our readers to gauge this product by. Since I personally do not game as much as I would like, to I had, Myke Mandel, star of “The Mandel Show”, assist me with the review. We spent two weeks with the mouse and used in a large assortment of games and scenarios. I hope you enjoy our review of this fantastic little mouse...

Joystiq: Dungeons & Dragons Daggerdale developer Bedlam Games is, for all intents and purposes, shut down, an anonymous source close to the developer tells Joystiq. We were first alerted to the situation by a tweet from the (also anonymous) "veracious_shit," which said that Bedlam has "laid off most of its staff and effectively shuttered last month." Last year, veracious_shit earned his/her reputation in early 2010 with tweets about troubles at LA Noire developer Team Bondi.
With daggerdale they should refund people money or give something to equal value , know it's not gonna hapen. D&D had the worst glitch ever, Losing spell in chapter 3.. terrible, totally made the game unplayable, And then they close down.....pfffff
I wish the game they made had been better.
But it's not like I'd celebrate people losing jobs just cos I didn't enjoy their product.
Good luck to em.
Still waiting for the console version....
