Scientist infects self with computer virus

Critical Gamer writes: Yes, you read that right. The BBC reports that British scientist Dr Mark Gasson, of the University of Reading, has implanted an RFID chip into his hand – which he had previously infected with a computer virus. It may sound like an entirely fruitless exercise, but there’s much more to it than that one simple sentence implies.

It'd be so awesome having a computer in your brain.
With an internal wireless adapter....
Imagine having Google in your brain, you'd be the smartest person evarrrrrrr.

With Wikipedia blocked.

I've seen plans of something pretty interesting.

Think about you current laptop... fairly small right?

Well now imagine it without everything it doesn't need, a screen, firewire, DVD drive, light, keyboard, touchpad. Imagine all that gone. Just basically the most basic computer

-512 MB ram
-1GHZ
-SOLIDSTATEDRIVE/Flash drive.

So it's basically the most very basic computer, just enough to run xubuntu, in a steel case. You have 3 USB's in order to plug in a small touchpad and keyboard you put on your hand like a glove upto your elbow. A wireless/3G PORT. You have a large battrery and glasses with a OLED screen, plug them together and you have a super portable device

Basically a back pack laptop...

How would you configure it for every single thing you want to do? Imagine all the config files that would need to be changed.

I would laugh at the first person to run around with an apple os on theirs. "What do you mean I cant see flash!!!???"

I'm running Lucid now, I am genuinly excited for 10.10, over the last 4 days I tried 4 different OS's and Lucid came back the most responcive, customisable and best look thing.

My biggest problem is the two panel things, It serves no point on larger screen, so what I do is just add 'open windows' to the top one, and the waste basket and then it's done.

I also love a challenge I set myself, is to uninstall so many items at start up I don't need and see the least number I could get, my goal is usually around 60. Such a good operating system, I still don't get people who say.

'How does it feel entering stuff in terminal to run stuff' I would know, I use terminal to check my PC temprature by typing 'sensors' and then if I want a new application I just copy and paste the sudo thing because it's easier than .exe ever was in windows. Wine is great, and I haven't missed a single thing. I also boot up in 20 seconds which is quick for my laptop.

Instead of BSoD, it could mess up he Basic input output settings (BIOS). Now that would be something to look at. But who knows, maybe this is the start of Johhny Memonic stuff.

Intresting article, seeing how it infects the reader as well.

RFID is something I hope never becomes mainstream. Its one of the best ways to control society. It could litteraly monitor your every move.
