Disney brought us this week Split/Second. Split/Second is pretty much the movie Deathrace without the buckets of blood and bullets. The hype began with the beautiful tracks and pure sense of speed experienced. Gamers must use strategy and pinpoint timing to derail opponents, and tactically alter the track or create entirely new routes. The glitz and explosive nature of Split/Second make it a unique game but is it worth the hype?

There were a number of cult classics that didn't sell like gangbusters, but still worked their way into gamers' hearts. Here's WWG list of nine great titles that deserve a second chance on newer consoles
I'll point out that these games are all from the X360/PS3 era - they've already had HD releases when they first came out. Split/Second and Blur - with the crazy vehicle physics capable today, why would we not want sequels to them?
The other games, all a matter of opinion of course, but... thank you for your ads between every single game. /s
Dafuq kinda title is that? These games were already released on HD consoles though...

James Pettegrow talks us through an arcade racing title that didn't get as much credit as it deserved.
Split/Second and Blur were the two most under rated racers last gen. They were great games and wish there were potential sequels.
Hoping for BC as I still got the XB1 disc and still play it time to time. This and Midnight Club LA along with Project Gotham Racing 4 are hidden racing gems from the X360 days.
the first impression this game gives is definatly worth the hype.
Definitely feel the game is worth the hype
I've heard PC demo is absolutly crap and devs should be ashamed.
Fixed resolution, 30 FPS and so on... if that's the case on the final product... lol
And don't blame piracy or PC dying blabla
I didn't see a whole lot of press or expectations surrounding this title. Another sensationalist headline. I love racers but I have not got around to picking up this game. I was a big fan of Pure. Thought it was a great game for their first attempt.
A couple of my friends that picked up Split Second have had nothing but positive things to say. I am looking forward to playing it for myself soon.
nope, Blur is better.
