I'm sure they'll just push more stuff on Marketplace or something. Instead of seeing a press conference that would have been at X07, we'll see a ton of new videos on Marketplace. Demos and other things may happen. An excuse to get the 120gb hard drive, maybe?

They will show some stuff in 2008 lol. I was looking forward to this as well but hey.

I thought they were holding things up on E3 to show it at their own event.

I think Microsoft is making a 360 degree spin and ending up right where they were with the original Xbox.

when i bought the DC, i didn`t think it would happen, but it does.

What people forgot was that ps2 destroyed dreamcast the moment it released. The thing now is diffrent, we have competition.

Ya Sony never had competitors last gen they came in b!tched slap the dreamcast, sat down on the throne with a few girls and just dominated. This gen we have 3 console all on pretty much even ground, so we all win!

Its rather bad news. Now the only big gaming event left for us aside from E3 is TGS. I dont know why MS is acting like this. E3 without big surprises, letting go of Peter Morre and now this?

It's possible that M$ is wrapping up the 360 after $7 billion dollars in losses since 2002. Nothing announced for 2008, no X07, Peter Moore leaving the company, Robbie Bach selling 6 million shares of stock a few weeks ago, etc...

It's unlikely, but possible.

Calm down people, there are more than enough events happening by the end of this year. Develop conference (in less than a week), Leipzig, Austin GDC, TGS, E for All Expo... There'll be plenty of opportunities.

i suppose tgs could work as if they give all there big news at the japanese show it gives them more face in japan.

i put it down to a lack of stuff to show, they probably dont have enough ready to justify the hugh cost of putting on a show like this! releasing stuff over the market place will allow them to release stuff as its ready! still... bit of a shame....

Good for publicity but even if they don't have no X07 this years it doesn't mean they have nothing to tell.
It might suggest that Microsoft has nothing to report.
But by not holding a own conference it might also show that they don't think they need a X07 this year.
Considering their position and holiday line up they don't need to do that much marketing for the upcoming holiday season.

I was really looking forward to X07 this year, especially since the E3 conference was a bit lackluster. I was hoping they'd show Banjo Kazooie, Alan Wake, Ninja Gaiden 2, or some of the other big titles for 08...

Oh well, I guess as long as they step it up at some of these other conferences, all will be well. I hope so at least...

to fix 360s.cost cuts will continue because the 360 is bleeding the company dry of money.now they're at 5 to 6 billion in losses.no profit since the first xbox.i'd bet they barely have a presense at TGS as well.

During the Interview he said there will be "No Real X07 This Year". What I want to know is what he meant be 'real'.
