P Steen at CVG: Google has announced their new web TV service in a partnership with Sony and Intel. Sony will be tasked with creating HDTVs and Blu-ray players incorporating the platform. This raises questions as to whether the service will come to the PlayStation 3. Sony also provides comment on the rumour.

They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

A brutal reset, a smarter story, and a return to what made it great—Mortal Kombat (2011) revived the series.
15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.
Oui, yes, da, ano, ja, jah, ya, sim, ie, aye, too right.
Seems like a no-brainer.
Not bringing it to PS3 would be idiotic.
I'm sure of it. Premium feature.
Would I pay? For this, dunno. It is not really TV, just web videos on TV. The browser might be cool if it works. Hulu/Viacom does not seem a part of it.
I assume Crackle will be a part and soon, after it grows, it will get more people.
In the end of the day, Hulu is being really restrictive with what it plays on. If Sony can get users to pay to watch, large amounts, other TV stations will join and it will be epic.
Hulu atm wants to 'charge to watch' and if it wants to do this, it best be part of this PSN Premium. Large market with Google TV if it happens.
I'm all for it. I'm not a baseball fan but the mlb app is something to behold on the ps3; Google TV would only add to some already nice features on the ps3. If sony ever inked a deal with the NFL it's a wrap for me. I see a lot of interesting things to come from E3.
As more people unlock and Sony shows more people how to unlock teh powa of da cell! the ps3 and sony as a brand can really expand.
and I'll ask this again what happened to Microsoft's IPTV?
So your PS3 doesn't need to be on all the time, and even if playing a game it records...without new hardware...available anywhere on any device you have.
Like Slingbox meets TiVo meets Universe -- Definitely worth the premium PSN fees!
