Loving the game.

Still playing it, but only playing a chapter a day as I play multiple games a day. Very rarely sit down for 9 - 10 and try to finish a game.

RDR is on its way to me also.

I got Split Second and Alan Wake an so far I knew Alan Wake wouldn't live up to all the hype, it is a good game but notthing to rush out and buy.

I already found some problems in the game an they aren't really big ones but they will get Alan kill, anyways ok game but I don't see it selling well Vs Split Second (Which most likely isn't that big) and Rockstars awesome cowboy game (I played some of it an felt like Fallout and GTA in one).

I like the songs they have at the ending of each chapter, especially chapter 2's ending. Play it at night with no lights on to get the full effect. The only problems I have with it is its 540p (I can definitely tell on my 46" TV) and driving the car, reminds me of Alone in the Dark car handling.

Too busy with Red Dead to care.

i'm no fan of the game but i hope it does well....

if anyone like games like resident evil ,silent hill and alone in the dark (i know i know rough 1 lol) id say lets hope its sells good just so we can get more games like this on either console coz i personally love horror games and they are a dying genre these days .

Alan wake is not even open world like it was supposed to be and red dead redemption is, RDR is just much fresher as well with the western setting not seen in many games, and italso has far longer single player and online. If im not mistaken people always said a game should have online to buy it so I think that kind of makes you a hypocrite if you bought alan wake and critisized other games that had no online. Alan wake is also not that long of a game.

Alan Wake is outstanding. I picked up the game myself and the game play stays interesting because the mood and atmosphere is so, on point. Never played anything like this before and I like this style of story telling a lot. You actually get nervous and on edge while playing this game, that has not happened to me since dead space. Just be sure to install it to the 360 HDD, Alan Wake really makes the drive spin and the noise gets to be too much, ruins the mood.

I would never waste money on alan wake I did a test drive not my game.

Rumors were Alan wake was just selling 1k under combined sales of fifa wk 2010(360+ps3). And soccer is quit big in the rest of the world.

Alan Wake is that rare game that comes out, it's not like anything I've ever played and it totally brings the creepiness factor to a new level. I loved it! Some of the best graphics, story, voice acting I've seen. MUST OWN for Xbox 360 owners!

I'm just saddened I don't have it yet. I saw Splinter Cell: Conviction on sale for $45 at Amazon and bought it (That's a steal yo!), but then two days later, I find out that Amazon has AW going for $50 ... just my luck.

Anyways, definitely going to add this to my collection, and I think it'll do well! There are a lot of folk out there who, believe it or not, WANT AW over RDR.

Sure the resolution lets it down a little but the AA picks up the slack for most the jaggies (still a few in daytime). But the level of detail in the world is amazing.
You can tell it use to be an open world game and never have I seen open world detailed so well. I really think any 360 developer wanting to make an open world game would be stupid not to use this engine.
I can see why they never made Alan Wake an open world game... Just would not work with the story/game type. Shame because you can tell they put a lot of effort into the open world engine. Would love to see this used in something like a new Elders Scroll game.

I will be getting this after E3, I tends to wait a month after all the hoopla is gone...To some say that won't sell a lot is deeply mistaking this will sell about 2 mill but the thing is, it just happen to come out on the same day as red dead redemption and a few other good titles out there for both systems so its competing with those titles

i am enjoying it very much as is most of my friends list.

Finally I'll be able to pick up my copy today! This game is going to be pimp as hell. There have been some pretty good story driven games lately. I hope to add this one to the list.

Just got back from an Alan Wake launch event (in India). It's a good game - the mechanics are interesting, the exploration is good though linear, the puzzle solving is good and the combat can be intense at times. However, it's also slow-paced, has lame dialogue and characters and the story though intriguing at times, drags at others.

If you already have Splinter Cell Conviction, sure, pick up Wake. But if you had to choose between the two, I'd recommend getting Conviction.

AW is better then most. The atmosphere, story and musical scores of the game are almost second to none. I'm enjoying it more than heavy rain and re5.

It doesn't matter if it is a good game, or a subpar game or an average game, no one will ever admit it's glaring flaws and will buy it anyway. MW2 was a glitchy mess and everyone brought it anyway. I don't know what anyone is trying to prove.

Why was this accepted to N4G?
The game says that the Xbox players only like games like COD and Halo, which are shooters, and thus xbox players are just looking for violence.
Well let me clue him in on the fact that the last two great PS3 games, Uncharted 2 and God of War 3 are also about killing, one moreso than anything on Xbox.

Alan Wake has no weather effects beside the wind/tornado thing. There is no rainfall in Bright Falls. Remedy could add rain effects in future DLCs though.

Why waste money on a game where Alan Wake isn’t in it for a good part of the game. Also, since you don’t own the game and they can cut you off at anytime why would you buy that many. Unless she was going to resell them for a profit, charity give away, or something like that.
