Touch screen technology has been around for some time, the iphone is a perfect example why phone developers should stay away from the tech.
A few reasons r, 1) when your doing anything with the iphone it takes 100% of you attention to do the simple things like unlock the screen so you can use the phone, 2)the battery is locked inside so you can't change it your self and that suckz. 3) ITS 600$!!!! why does apple think there phone is as valuable as the ps3. I thout apple was smarter then that:(

you have to take it for what it is, an opinion. i've been reading this guys page for some time now, and read his book, and i think he is hilarious. he picks a topic, and destroys it. in some of his earlier posts, he bashes microsoft and sony, both of which are pretty dam funny. take it or leave it, i disagree that he is a fanboy. just throws a sarcastic perspective on everything that the public goes nuts for.

OK, while I FULLY agree with everything Maddox says, I am mad because I check his site everyday hoping for another exciting update essay....and just literally 10 minutes after I see it on his site, I come to N4G and see the same post here...

I LOVE my phone, and I can definitely see what he's talking about. I would much rather have a real keyboard than on on-screen touchscreen keyboard.

WiFi plus Fring (a Skype, MSN Phone, Google Talk, and SIP client) means that I don't even have to use my minutes if I'm in range of a WiFi hotspot.

The iPhone is pretty sweet, but WAAAAAAY overpriced...

If they would have put out the 8GB model for around $400, I may have just got one... But there's NO WAY I'm shelling out $599.99 for a friggin cellphone (especially for one that doesn't support 3G, and costs you around $90 and a trip to Apple to replace the battery).

iphone sucks but why compare it with another sh*t phone. NOKIA N95 FTW. N95 has everything you need and everything you want; 3g, video call, wifi, 5 megapixel camera, etc.

...although it is expensive, it really is "that cool" as they say it is.Just picked one up this weekend (birthday was 2 weeks ago so the price wasnt to big of a deal for me)I hate cellys....but I do love new tech..and this is deff the hottest out there and will be for awhile.If your on the fence about getting one dont hesitate,its worth it. Only reason Im posting it beacuse there is so much hate for the iphone going around,but its usually from the people that don't own one or cant afford one,straight up.I have yet to hear from an iphone user that hates their phone.
