xbox 720 will launch in fall 2011

with halo reach this fall and gears 3 in april 2011(MS's 2 biggest franchises), expect the announcement at e3 2011.

PS3 may get an extra year but not sure of this..they may launch day and date with MS as well. Both companies will move toa two console strategy with current consoles for the casual market and next gen for the hardcore.

There will always be plenty of early adopters that will buy at launch.

I'm sorry to say but I find this abit bullshit. After watching through the majority of his videos and finding them pretty fair, I find this particular one abit bullshit. It's almost like he's trying to even out the scores to keep people watching.

comparison but this guy seemed a little uniformed on the ps3 side like he doesnt have 1. PS3 already has facebook integration allows updates on trophy info that he said wont happen until this fall and it has a browser since day 1 so facebook always been available via ps3 as well as twitter and every other site youtube etc. Also I dont see how he used the subcription fee as an excuse for MS to get better features for xbl when on top of the subscription fee they want to charge more subscription fees to use extra services. I believe Sony will give xgame chat as a free service via firmware update I dont see how they could implement a feature like that and leave it out as a pay service when their features are integrated into the O/S.

I`m sorry, but the brutal truth is that the PS3 has a much brighter future, and will be remembered as something much greater than the Xbox 360, and the main reason is the games. Let`s be frank here, the 360`s exclusive lineup absolutely pales in comparison to the PS3`s. The exclusives that are supposed to give consoles character are extremely shallow and forgettable on the 360, side from maybe Mass Effect and Fable. You know the future is bleak for the 360 when it consists of Gears 3 and Halo: Reach. Yeah, Sony has made some mistakes this generation, but they`re providing gaming on an entire different level, such that no PC, 360 or Wii can reach.

Wow! that was bad, and when does online services prolong the future? He did not even say that you can implement 3D-HD with Move to create a unique experience that no other console can do. I can tell you the 360 aint more future proof than the PS3.

i find this episode to be awfully thought out. just so much wrong with it.

1.MGS4 "only sold ok." 5 million copys is now, just ok, but this is just a minor issue that shouldn't really effect who wins or loses the round. just makes you look uninformed.

2.the DLC comment. BatmanAA and Red Dead have exclusive DLC on PS3, and both are big games. im not sure who will get more/better DLC in the future, but i am sure only looking looking at 360 DLC makes you look either bias or uninformed again.

3. Natal vs Move. more is known about Move in terms of tech and games coming out. Natal has Ricochet and a laggy Burnout demo. if you're going on what the Natal could be then why can't the PSN premium get bigger consideration?

They don't have own production after 9 Billion dollars, so long if Windows with unfair competition with stolen windows from Amiga back than you can call Microsoft are thiefs, we all know that Amiga starts with Windows first and with those pattent no one has the right make windows, only Linux is holding back becouse of the pattens what Microsft has and so long if Microsoft make money on windows they support the X-box division and try defeat Sony or Nintendo what never goning to happend.

OMG he was being such a god damn fanboy. Why when he said console games suck when the consoles first released and all he showed was lair and i believe heavenly sword. I haven't had a problem with any of the rounds so far except this one he was being a fanboy though. He should of just shown both bad games and good games for both console. He was taking so much jab at the ps3 for no reason but its w.e end of the day its what every individual thinks about their console of their choosing.

The future the 360 uses dvd9 which has been holding games down ever since 2008 how does it win round 11 when we all know this,the round was extremely biased IMO.

So the 360 want to win the war by providing the best Online experience and improve the online and the online and the online mmmmm.
In the other hand the PS3 is working on better online experience and quality exclusive games. In my opinion we "the gamers" want more quality games from our console brand.

how can a console whose format has been holding back gaming since the launch of the ps3, win jack s**t? if you don't think 6.8 gigs is holding back modern gaming when something like killzone uses 2+ gigs per level, then youre high. we will never know how badly multiplat games have suffered this gen due to sheer lack of space (im not talking graphics, i'm talking content/length).

For one talking about facebook, the PlayStation 3 has an internet browser and was able to install linux operating systems for better browsing. They didn’t mention that the PS3 has a read-only blu-ray technology making it the cheapest upgradable blu-ray player on the market. Nothing about PS Home being a social network (hence the XBOX facebook), motion control demos, and the list goes on.

That’s gaming journalism for you, always leaving out the important bits. Anyone who has been a follower will know what I’m talking about, but making sense on this website makes you a Sony Fanatic? Call me a Sony Fanatic if you want, I just don't see a platform that only has DVD9 technology lasting too long especially when they are designed for gaming.

This gen hasn't been the best for games, last gen consoles are still out there and now there's been talk of the PS6 and Xbox Two for a year or so. Many games this gen will be ported to next gen and the cycle will continue. The re-release of the Neo Geo AES+, games on cartridge for £70 ($95), gaming is going back in time. Gaming has gone pricing mad with the high cost of games, consoles and controllers. The men and women at the top are clueless.

It’s always interesting to hear behind-the-scenes stories like this, especially involving veterans like Shuhei Yoshida and leadership figures like Jim Ryan. That said, there are usually multiple sides to decisions at that level. It could be less about not “listening” and more about differences in long-term vision for PlayStation. If true, and I'm inclined to believe it is, it goes to show that Sony lost their way when they became more western/didn't respect the PlayStation origin story. I miss the first three generations of PlayStation. The way they turned PS3 around, we knew they meant business. We were all worried for a bit there around launch. Eventually from 2008 they started shifting slowly. But since Yoshida was fired, it's never been the same. Still enjoy my PS5 daily. I got a backlog dating back to PS2 lol So I'm fine but new games aren't as appealing anymore.

It seems like we were thrown on to the worst timeline possible where everything is too expensive and the wrong people were put in positions that makes the world a shitty place. We could have had Shu as the head of PS but we got the shitty alternative. Same goes for everyone in power around the world. Doesn’t matter the company or country the majority of us got the shitty picks and the world is declining like never before. I do think PS can come out of this because of their studios, talent and IP but they need someone more in touch with gamers leading things like Shu was. They’re still the best place for console gaming imo but it could be much better than it is especially without the massive live service failures. The rest of the world I have a lot less hope for right now. Hopefully the pendulum swings back towards the good ole days but I’m preparing for the worst.

There's another guy who recently "retired" as CEO of another large gaming company, after doing a dismantling job as lead for well over a decade.

seems legit, the business man, fires the one who has ideas to move the business forward.

Jim Ryan is the reason why we are entering year 6 since the PS5 launch and many of us don't feel like the PS5 has gotten started as yet.
