Boycott an amazing game? Your loss..

HSx95858d ago (Edited 5858d ago )

Why does it say "Watch Video" but there is no video... Misleading, made me click, now I must spam their website.

--Edit: NVM After 40 clicks and getting through advertisements I have found the video.--

ScoobyDrew5858d ago

Hey does somebody wanna post a link for the damn video?

ThanatosDMC5858d ago

Yesterday a guy was steaming the game for 9+hrs on his 360. Btw, in this game you cant swim for $hit! Water = death.

iHEARTboobs5858d ago

No one swims in the west!

:)

SnakePlissken5858d ago

You wanna swim? This aint Tomb Raider buddy! This is the Old West, when was the last time you saw an outlaw in a western swimming? lol

It is much easier to get an X360 title earlier by a week or two than release date without having to deal with DRM .

El_Colombiano5858d ago

It's sad that you're 100% right. No need to crack, no need to mount anything. Just burn and play. But that's what you get with DVD.

ALFAxD_CENTAURO5858d ago (Edited 5858d ago )

The DRM is useless now. Did you see that when Splinter Cell Conviction, The Settlers released in the 1st week, there was a already a Crack to play Offline and Online mode?

I mean, very helpful for the customers if they are not Online.

fullmetal2975858d ago

Exactly, cracks can be made for game in less than a month and pirates can easily download the game play in snap. DRMs at this point are designed to punish the paying customers.

EzekielRAGE5858d ago

doesnt mean its a pirated copy. Rental stores get their rental copies a week or two b4 release, and allow employees to take it home and play. Just sayin.

Inside_out5858d ago (Edited 5858d ago )

Many pirated versions of Alan Wake floating around too...sad really...At least wait for the game to launch...Idiots...For the guy's saying it's not HD...Wait for more info...the game is made with id engine, same as Rage game...so...Regardless, everything shown looks amazing...If PS3 is 640, so is 360...Still getting it and Alan Wake....AW is not 720p and still looks great....Just saying....

wait until there reliable source

mrv3215858d ago

I think the disagrees are funny, he's not denying it might be sub-hd he just wants to wait for more confirmation. I rarely click agree or disagree but this case I agree.

If more sources say the same I won't deny it, but that won't stop me buying it.

stonecold15858d ago

some site are saying its 640p already on google but i will wait if it is im ging to pass it off and will put $ towards getting modnation racers instead if developers cant look after the fanbase why support them instead they give ps3 half crap not worth the support since there is another console on the market holds ps3 gaming back which is true

More like people don't play these type of games on their phone normally and don't try them out. Not like the places where people do play these games haven't crushed those numbers easily.

How many people actually played more than an hour of the game or came close to finishing it on mobile is the real question. If people aren't playing the games to a point that is purposeful, then why try when a subscription that is behind a streaming service isn't a sign of success but just curiosity.

What if Netflix becomes ‘the Netflix of gaming?!’

Alek83136d ago

I downloaded it because I already have a Netflix sub.
I am not going to buy it for $40 or whatever it costs on Google Play.

I tried it out and will be sticking to the PC version, but it's not bad.

Having said that, this is the issues I see vs the PC version:
1. Greatly reduced texture resolution.
2. Massive downgrade ALL lighting quality (this includes water, shadows, etc).
3. Stutter and heat. Prolonged play leads to both.
On the plus side, we have:
4. This thing is like 6GB vs the 12 on Steam.

Great way to try the game, but not the best way to play it.

Perhaps Netflix will make a RDR series now that ST is done with.

Lionsguard137d ago

A Netflix version of RDR?... Oh boy... I can't wait... /s

TheColbertinator137d ago

They should build a production that includes members behind the True Grit remake and Hell on Wheels from AMC. Both were perfect for wild west vibes.

gold_drake136d ago

but i doubt people ACTUALLY played it on smartphone vs tried it out.

Another free update...good to know but I don't own a series X

Petebloodyonion170d ago

I’m not sure what the exact issue is. I had no trouble getting the free update—you basically get the new game for free if you have the 360 version in your digital library. Maybe the problem is related to owning or not owning the Undead DLC expansion.

Hypertension140169d ago (Edited 169d ago )

Yea I think thats what it is. I also own the game but not the expansion, and im unable to download the update.
