Valve just announced that Counter-Strike Source is receiving a major update, which is currently in beta, and it will introduce a host of new features and functionality to the aging game.

Eight seminal games were released on the gaming market between October 26 and November 23, 2004. Twenty years later, here's Wccftech's retrospective.
You're not gonna include Ratchet and Clank Up Your Arsenal or Jak 3 on that list? Just change it to Fall 2004 Releases and include the masterpiece that is Sly 2.

DSOGaming writes: "Modder ‘gEck0_’ has released a graphics overhaul mod for Counter-Strike: Source, called Counter-Strike: Re-Source (2019). Counter-Strike: Re-Source is basically a compilation of countless textures, models, skins, shaders and more that aims to greatly improve the visuals of this 2004 Counter-Strike game."

We know what most of you will say – it’s not! Some will say it’s trying too hard and some will say it is perfect.
I keep jumping back into this.
The sheer number of player numbers, decades after release of the original CS is astounding. Its always over half a million!
The gunplay is on another level.
I just couldn't get into it. I've tried so many times but I just suck at FPS games haha.
That said I do enjoy watching it pros play it from time to time.
Counter-Strike: Source has been neglected for FAR too long. I would love to see Valve put enough work into CS:S so that it finally replaces 1.6 at tournaments.
I hope this is a sign of things to come from Valve on CS:S. I wouldn't mind getting back into it.
Funny that this comes out right when Tactical Intervention is about to start beta.
Downloading now :D
Has been my favourite online FPS since its release (2004), i'm glad to see it get some love.
Played a couple rounds. Cool update. I like the addition of motion blur and what ever other little graphical tweaks they made.
Persistant lifetime stats is something CSS has always needed. I love it.
