Maybe I have on rose tinted glasses or whatever the expression is, but this looks awful. It doesn't look as good as Sonic 1, 2 or 3 or S&K.

-The graphics look worse
-The level design is worse
-The music is worse
-The game flows poorly
-Just looks absolutely HORRIBLE

The only thing this game has going for it is HD resolution, and the spinning thing you hit at the end looks improved also.

You would think after 15 years of technology advancing, you would be able to put a game out that was better than one's you made 15 years ago, or at the very least looks better visually.

Honestly this is something that a team of 2-3 people could put out in a few months.

Awful.

(In before 15 year olds tell me what good games are.)

I couldn't agree more. +bubbles

I think you have tinted glasses on, nostalgia glasses. If this game released in 1995 you would not be saying any of those things or even care. Level design is worse? Freaking they're pretty much HD remakes, the first level has the same SAME layout as Green Hill Zone. The graphics are technically better, you just do not like the art style. The only reason you look so highly upon the classics is nostalgia.

What sadTruth is sad but true. The Way sonic moves around doesnt feel natural the sense of speed is kinda lacking. There's not action going around. When Sonic Turned into super Form using the Chaos emerald it dint feel epic at all. smh

Can't they just make a good Sonic 3D game like Sonic Adventure 1&2?

RonXD5863d ago

Fuck you sonic fans complain about everything.

This is like a month old. seriously.

LukeA5863d ago

I think you're talking about the Lost Labyrinth Zone and the Splash Hill Zone, which were leaked about a month ago. This is for the Mad Gears Zone.

Shadow Flare5863d ago

No, this has been on n4g already

http://n4g.com/news/518584/...

and like i said in the article before, as good as this Mad Gear level is, its INCREDIBLY similar to Metropolis from Sonic 2

xskipperx825863d ago

This AND the Casino Street zone were leaked like a month ago. Where have you people been???

Bobbykotickrulesz5863d ago

"Where have you people been???"

lol. Oh I don't know, maybe out living life? Forgive us for not using N4G 24 hours a day.

The only thing that can kill Super Sonic is the bottom of the screen.

Sonic’s Episodic Adventures – The History of Sonic the Hedgehog 4

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 was something many wanted to see for a very long time. Continuing the story from Sonic 3 & Knuckles, many had lofty expectations for this title. When it finally released, many were split on the project. From it’s episodic nature, different feeling controls and changes that felt strange to fans of Sonic’s classic adventures, Sonic 4 Episode I and II were divisive games to say the least.

I feel like if they could keep improving on the Sonic 4 physics, formula and level design they could have gone from the good Sonic 4 Ep II to something genuinely great for Sonic 4 Ep III.

Strange games. Definitely shouldn't have been "Sonic 4". Seeing as it re-used alot of ideas, level themes enemies and bosses etc, it really should have been called "Sonic Megamix" or something and the levels should have been named after the originals. This would have given SEGA a chance to see what fans reaction was to this style of game, before going in for "proper" Sonic 4. Sonic Mania feels far more "Sonic 4" than the actual Sonic 4 does haha

The 50 Best Game Series on iOS: Sonic the Hedgehog

Sonic the Hedgehog, one of gaming’s most recognizable mascots, used to be synonymous with Sega’s console hardware. Now he can be found on multiple platforms, including iOS. Sonic made his iOS debut with straight ports of his early-90s Sega Genesis games, but since then, he’s starred in more than a few original games designed specifically for mobile.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 Review

Maul Squad: I was a Sega kid growing up; although the NES was my first my next console was the Sega Megadrive (or Genesis if you’re a Yank). I played James Pond 3, Boogerman and Earthworm Jim but it wasn't until I first played Sonic the Hedgehog 2 that I really got sucked in. I enjoyed speed and fluidity of your movement along with the bright, chirpy artwork and addictive soundtrack.
