"Split/Second: Velocity sees an evolution of the excellent tech that powered Pure, brought to us this time in a high velocity Burnout-style of game with a twist: it's not just your opponents on the road you need to do battle with, it's the environment itself. Similar to Burnout, a power meter gradually fills as you perform skillful racing - whether drifting through corners or drafting behind opponents. However, while Burnout concentrated on car-to-car battling, Split/Second opts for a different approach."

There were a number of cult classics that didn't sell like gangbusters, but still worked their way into gamers' hearts. Here's WWG list of nine great titles that deserve a second chance on newer consoles
I'll point out that these games are all from the X360/PS3 era - they've already had HD releases when they first came out. Split/Second and Blur - with the crazy vehicle physics capable today, why would we not want sequels to them?
The other games, all a matter of opinion of course, but... thank you for your ads between every single game. /s
Dafuq kinda title is that? These games were already released on HD consoles though...

James Pettegrow talks us through an arcade racing title that didn't get as much credit as it deserved.
Split/Second and Blur were the two most under rated racers last gen. They were great games and wish there were potential sequels.
Hoping for BC as I still got the XB1 disc and still play it time to time. This and Midnight Club LA along with Project Gotham Racing 4 are hidden racing gems from the X360 days.
Can't wait to play this game
720 p while 360 version runs at 672 sub both look like great games thought
Since these guys are the so called videogame tech experts, they must know that demos are highly compressed and not indicative of the final product. Yet they feel the need to grace us with more demo face-offs then full retail game face-offs.
One example would be Batman:AA, which blew up the internetz for its demo comparison, even though you could see macroblocks in the cutscenes revealing the high compression and performed better on 360 by a couple of frames. Then the full retail product released and was far superior on PS3, but where was DF's comparison on that?
I suspect they also realize that PS3 is made for uncompressed data while 360 is made for compressed data, which is why their fanboy a$$e$ jump to the demos every time and ignore the final retail game comparisons!
PS: I never even read the article so I don't even know who won. Just an observation about DF!
We're comparing demos now?! Wow...
"it's the Xbox 360 build that runs a touch more smoothly. It also exhibits lower levels of screen-tear, though the human eye is unlikely to really tell the difference between the two versions - in this level, at least. Statistically though, in the sample above, Xbox 360 produces around four per cent torn frames while PS3 is at 11 per cent. "
I'll take a smoother game, especially on a racer over a few more lines of vertical resolution that will not even be noticable once upscaled.
Winner 360.. Again.
