Killzone 2 will no doubt win seeing that the pre pre-alpha screens look better than the Halo 3's beta screens. Well that's my opinion anyway.

I'm proud to have you on my PSN list mate. That video comaprison was great and the music starting at the screenshots is brilliant. Laughing at Ford GT guy calling this "lame" repeatedly. True, these games are not the same but are the Flagships of their respective consoles at this time.

Draw your conclusions about which looked better (KZ2?), but there is no doubt that this was a great video and both games look terrific. I must give KZII the edge simply because of the Rated "R" look of the trailer compared to the PG-13 look of the Halo 3 trailer; and yes the trees looked great in Halo. I just love the "man on man" violence aspect of KZII with modern day style weapons thrown in with accurate recoil signatures. Nice. Remember it's just my opinion. Later guys.

It's in your face. People react to where they're being shot. There's more polygon count in one body then in an entire Killozne one level. There is fully destructible environments. It's still on the ALPHA stage. I think it's funny any fanboy tries to knock it. Every media outlet has given the game mad props and said it looked better then anything else at E3. I guess you green fanboys just think your opinion is better then the critics.

They make it look pretty but a polished game is the complete package.
The Halo franchise has already proven itelf to be a top contender in the FPS genre.

Good graphics, AI, mutiplayer. Online play and general overall fun.
Halo 2 is still one of the most played online games today...and I think that says a lot about its caliber.

Yes KZ2 looks amazing, but it still has a lot more to prove. The First KZ also had better graphics than Halo but failed in every other department.

You really can't compare the 2 yet, but as of now the Halo series series has a one up bc it has proven itself in all depts through its previous track record.

Ok, first of all - two different freakin' games.

Both look good.

Both have a lot of interesting facets.

HOWEVER -

KZ has never had a real great following and hasn't had the best gameplay ever seen. Sure, the paradigm might shift, but I want to see some real information - this comparison does jack for me.

Honestly, given the past failures that have been KZ, why is anyone even excited? I own a PS3 and I'm more excited for Lair...

Halo 3 looks good there is no denying it, and will probably be a good solid finish, but will it be the best? personaly I think the package Halo:CE provided was the best so far.

I wasnt all that sold on Halo 2, sure there was more of everything, but some of the weapon tweeks left the multiplayer easy to take advantage of. I will have to wait to give my verdict on Halo 3

and Killzone looks very good, I like the positive buzz its getting and it should turn out to be a great game. hopefully the multiplayer turns out well too. Im hopeing they get at least 32 player size matchs, I love big matchs :)

That was the vaunted Killzone 2 everyone is talking about? I'm not impressed. It looked washed out and dark to me. Actually, Resistance looks better to me. Maybe the video is bad or something, I'm sure it will look better when it's done.

Halo 3 looked more colorful, but some people don't like that look eaither.

Bottom line, they'll both be great I'm sure...

Graphics are important now, I know they aren't everything, but we would only ever need 1 console in out lifetime if graphics didn't matter. They are mattering more with draw distances and detail never seen before.

I think that Guerilla will watch every little part of Halo 3 multi-player / single player and improve on it. Killzone 2 is around 8 months away and already shows much promise. Halo 3 will be king of the hill this year, but unless something real special comes along I think it will ba handing its crown over next year.

Suffice to say, GOTY 2008? Let's not get hasty. Yes, it looks good - in fact, it looks amazing, but KZ has a definite track record and it's not exactly promising. I'm not necessarily NOT excited for it, but I'm still holding out to see what comes of it. After all, this is just video... I want hands on of the final release before I pass judgment.

Although KZ2 clearly looks better, both are different types of shooters. KZ2 is the dark, eerie, feeling, where Halo 3 has a more colorful, look. All this video was, were the two trailers playing right after each other. I'd like to see a side by side comparison, though, of both finished products.

Both will no doubt be amazing games that will sell well. Anyway, I'm getting both the day they come out.

These games launch at different points in time. And to compare games like that ain't right. By the way, pre-alpha means it hasn't even left your head yet, so...that's stupid. And alpha means it's in pre-rendered form (much like a tech demo) so that ain't right either. Their BOTH in Beta, just one's further down the pipe than the other. And personally, I don't play betas. I'll be playing REAL games until these come out, so don't bug me with all this "pre-alpha vs beta" crap. It's just a waste of time for serious gamers out there.

But I am not gonna deny that Halo 1, 2 and 3 play better than Killzone 1.

Bioshock, Mass Effect, and Call of Duty 4 look better than both of these games. But, the screenshot from Halo 3single player campaign look better than Killzone 2 screenshots from single player campaign. Better lightin, and higher rez textures in halo 3.

Killzone has a pretty good track record, what guerilla wanted to achive simply could not be done on the PS2, the first killzone played alright, but later on in levels, glitches and framerate issues become more noticible the advanced AI was either buggy or non aparent and enemies would stand out in the open shoot try to run to cover and just stop, but the awesome soundtrack and art design could have lead to a stellar title, but it just wasnt possible. so with PS3's great hardware KZ2 should play much better considering it already looks fantastic.

KillZone was a flop, and it's been risen to such a high status so as to compete with something out there that has PROVEN its status as a gaming phenomenon. For a person like me, who takes into consideration the immense pressures that devs have to with, I think we should ALL give our support (as gamers) to the little underdogs who try to make SOME form of entry into the gaming world. I don't own a PS3 but I don't hate.

Checking Gamerankings did show that Liberation did fairly well. I think I was relying more on Gamefaqs buzz than anything else. Thanks for pointing that out fopums...

FF practically LIVES off its fame. so does DMC, RE, SF, Tekken, Ridge, and everything else out there. Franchises are investments anyway, so they just look at as a quick hit to keep the dollars coming. You CAN'T deny a franchises beginings. What is proven is ALWAYS what remains.

as to which to buy,i have a ps3.so obviously i will pick up killzone.no offense to the halo fans,but i wasn't impressed with halo2's story.multiplayer with friends was the only fun i had with the game.i sold it after only getting as far as playing as the enemy.that was just as bad as playing as raiden instead of snake in MGS2.

but to each his own.i still hate the 360 hardware.but i can't knock a good looking game when i see one.both look great.

Halo is more of a game for a younger audience, hance the vivid bright colours.

Killzone has a much darker dirtier look that I really like.

Halo is Rainbow Islands, while Killzone is Fight Club.

...I own 2 PS2's (one for each of my Sons) and an Xbox 360. I joined this site about 2 months after buying the 360.

I am considering getting a PS3 primarily because its the cheapest Blu-Ray player you can get in New Zealand at this time. However, the pure hatred and spiteful comments that come from Sony fanboys is quite off putting. Although 360 fanboys aren't exempt either, I have to say that I am truly put off buying a PS3 as to me it would say that I support the verbal terrorism thats going on in here.

Why does everyone plead such insane levels of loyalty to a MS or Sony of this world. Do you think Sony or MS will be there to hold you're hand in the event of a disaster...ummm, no. Do you think Sony or MS will be there to help you pay for a life saving operation...umm, no again I think. To me Sony and MS are nothing more than pimps. As long as you have the money they will provide you with what you need.

I wish everyone would simply stop bleating fanboy nonsense and go back to having the fun that real gamers once did and still have. If you have something constructive to say then by all means share it however, if you don't then well, don't.

and it should not matter what a game looks like, the only thing that matters is if there fun.

I have a gripe with that. What seems extreamly hard to do is good facials in any game I have played and seen demoed. KZ2 does it good, not more than so. FF XII did it also good. Almost more believeable. But here in HALO 3 - a polygoned helmet. Yeah, put in a monster without one maybe? Well, that monsters facials is not comprehendable for anyone unless it's an orch or a banshee (Fellowship of the ring thrillogy).

I think a Halo 3 is easier to make because of the ordinary elements in a, lets say UT2004 game. Like this SEEMS to be after looking at this demo. Where was the horde of action in it, for once?

I like the feel of what I saw of H3 but I am not mighty impressed either. KZ2 did more than the usual FPS thing. Blood and wounds and reaction from hurted helgast and whatnot. Explosions and smoke all over the place. I liked that dark hopeless desperate world it described - because it was well done.

i think killzone has it, but then again we cant give a real comparison til both are out, since killzone 2 is in pre alpha, and halo still has a month or two so i guess it could look better, so we just have to wait

Killzone 2 reminds me of saving privite ryan. half of the people here can tell you the same thing. look at the textures. look at how realistic the blood looks. look at how the NPCs react when they get shot. its what war should look like.
War is hell, and guerilla went on point with that enviornment to look like were at war. and they're going to get way more viseral by the time we get to beta.
Killzone 2 is going to do what Call of duty one did, reinvent the War FPS as if you where there. its going to feel way hectic when both sides (ISA and Helghast) are blowing each other out to bits in a changing wheather/structure enviornemt

i don't like Halo, but hot damn do they have an *EXCELLENT composer to the series.

the soundtrack to Halo has always been *AMAZING, and in the upper echelon of gaming soundtracks (along with games like Chrono Trigger, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Shadow of the Colossus, etc).

the Halo 3 trailer is weak, but the music certainly sets the mood, and should get Halo fans pumped.

Bungie needs to do a better trailer. this one strikes me as something put together rather quickly for E3.

Killzone 2 is a totally different game than Halo 3, and the art design is completely different, but i do think it looks better, especially in the latter part of the trailer, where we actually get to see some of the running and gunning shooting.

both games will probably deliver a quality shooter for their respective consoles.

smart gamers should own a PS3 *AND a 360, that way you get *ALL of the great games both consoles have to offer.

i don't own a 360 yet, but i'll pick one up soon enough (at least by years end, we'll see how much dough i have left after the wallet raping that is this fall and winter season).

*edit - i also have to comment that Killzone 1 was a better game than most people give it credit for, just hampered by the hardware. the atmosphere, story, and art design were always there and top notch. but their ambitions were too much for the PS2 to handle.

also, Killzone: Liberation on the PSP was a very good game, and took advantage of the hardware the PSP offered. i think Guerilla Games learned from their mistakes and adapted.

don't judge a sequel by it's predecessor. for example:

Devil May Cry 1 rocked. Devil May Cry 2 sucked. Devil May Cry 3 rocked.
Metal Gear Solid rocked. Metal Gear Solid 2 was critically panned (though i still think it's a great game. i mean, Kojima's worst is still better than most developers *BEST. but i digress). Metal Gear Solid 3 rocked.

Killzone 1: hampered by hardware
Killzone: Liberation: very good game
Killzone 2: yet to be seen, but looking promising.

just because a game looks good doesn't mean it's not going to have good gameplay.

i mean, honestly, some of the best games of all time had ground-breaking graphics for it's day:

all great games, all with amazing visuals.

graphics and gameplay are *NOT mutually exclusive.

there are very few games out there that really touted amazing graphics, only to have sh*tty gameplay (The Bouncer springs to mind).

this mentality that if a game *LOOKS good, it must not *PLAY good is stupid.

Guerrila has shown that they have excellent talent and potential. and now they're going to shine.

remember when Sony Santa Monica was a no name developer with a few solid titles under their belt (ie, War of the Monsters...holy crap, a PS3 War of the Monsters title would *ROCK so hard. but i digress again), then they hit with God of War, and now the studio is one of Sony's top tier developers.

one title can make all the difference, especially if you know that the talent is there.

KZ2 looks better. Halo3 will be fun and all but it wont look better than KZ2!;)

These are video games you guys know, not politics. I hate it when people take this stuff way too seriously.

that it's hard to compare them. Take a single halo 3 model with a single killzone model of a charecter and I bet the Halo model has better deeper textures and so on. On the grand scale the halo model isn't as realistic looking but for the game that it's in it looks absolultey batter than any killzone models. Also consider Halo 3's areas are way more wide open and you can see way way further than what I've seen in killzone. I give killzone tons of respect for its amazing lifelike graphics, but it's style is so different compared to halo 3's semi-cartoony look, things aren't as wide open and distanced. I would love the peter jackson halo gam eproject to be related to an ultra-realistic version of halo, which would be awesome, then we could definitley make some graphical comparisons. Until then we'll be content to be different. I like super realistic things like killzone as well, but I still love halo with its bright vibrant colors that so many realistic games are lacking. Look outside, I live next to some woods and its super bright, I can compare that more to halo.

And why do people make judgments of entire games based on graphics.."Killzone will kik halos azzz!!!" it a friggin retarded comment given that the fun of a game depends mostly on playing it rather than looking at it. Saying something lik "halo looks fun and all but killzone has way better graphics!" what do you mean by "and all"? having fun playing a game is so much more important than graphics and you treat it like it doesn't matter...

If you want something that only looks good, go watch a movie. Wait till we play both of them to make such judgments.

really tough to compare, the art direction is vastly different for each.

As in once both games are out and have been played and reviewed... which I believe is sometime in 2008.

Remember Killzone #1 looked great...and everyone went crazy about how it was the Halo killer...and we all are aware of the reality of that.

Now that said, Killzone #2 could very well be a Halo killer...it certainly has the graphics from what we have seen. Gameplay and framerate issues are really the only things I could see at this point that would keep this from being a match to Halo. And I am not saying it has those issues..I have no idea...just that out of the known things so far...those would be the items that could hurt it.

Anyway...I will enjoy Halo 3 this Sept. and sometime in 2008 we can all finally compare the two games and see who is the real king.

Sorry - I just don't see the use of comparing them. If you want to compare, then compare Halo 2 vs. Halo 3 and Killzone vs. Killzone 2.

Owners of each system get to enjoy a great FPS, and owners of both systems get to enjoy both - isn't that enough? Don't you want your fellow gamers to enjoy great games - regardless of platform?

Both games look great. I really liked Killzone 2 graphics. But we all know that Halo 3 is not the best graphic game
(from a realism point of view) on 360. Hell it never even could of been once Gears of War came out. But it was always a fun game to play with huge environments something I dont think Killzone 2 will be able to match.

Edit: Also its not a question of system power or even a developer skills its a matter of style that the creators use. Anyone notice how a lot of Japan made games kind of look anime looking with bright colors (just like halo) would you say them games are for kids or that they suck hell no. Its just a matter of style nothing more.

HALO is cartoony and very simple.. just look at world details in KZ and compare it to HALO..

Most shooting games are fairly simple.

I think everyone has their own opinions, So it depends on what your like. It was hard to me to come up with a conclusion, but here's my opinion. I think KZ2 has better graphics, but HALO3 is more colorful, so it makes it look good. GAMEPLAY! i can't tell, because i haven't palyed any of those 2 games, so i don't know about the gameplay.

I think this is a tough comparison other than them both being FPS. Halo3 textures, lighting, and beautiful artistic style makes it look great but not like a modern day "realistic" shooter. Look at Halo3 screenshot pics, it shows some amazing detail vs KZ2 but its very different from KZ. KZ looks great, I like the weapons and the realism going on with blood and toe to toe fighting that game does look great.

IMO KZ looks great but not much better than many other realistic style shooters, games like GRAW2 and R6:Vegas both looked awesome and they were alot of fun, but not that Halo kind of fun, Bungie knows how to deliver that fun factor, which is why Halo2 is still played so much online. -Halo2 is the most fun I ever had on a FPS, and from my experience with the Beta it seems Bungie will outdo themselves.

I don't know but it seems although KZ2 does look great I think some Sony fans think this one trailer makes it better than Halo3 or anything else because its PS exclusive. I mean if you really wanted to do a comparison of FPS with the realistic, grim, dark, style graphics then lets see a Gears of War or even better how about COD4 graphics comparison video?

Killzone 2 hands down kids love games like halo.

As you can see...Halo is a proven franchise while Killzone is a flop. So there really isn't a "Halo 3 vs Killzone 2" because Halo destroys Killzone. Killzone 2 sticks with the same tired formula of battling it out on dark war torn streets. Just like Resistance, Warhawk, Call of Duty, Metal of Honor, etc...While the Halo franchise throws you in a world of science fiction never seen in a FPS. Beatifully imagined and well balanced maps like Zanzibar, Midship, Lockout, etc...are one best maps ever created in a FPS game. It's this creativity that makes Halo stand out over the rest of the bunch. It doesn't use the same tired rountine.

But what has Killzone 2 done differently from the rest? I think it looks exactly like Resistance or Call of Duty 4. There are 3 types of fps...

1. Dark battles w/ wartorn streets: Resistance, Call of Duy, Killzone, etc...
2. Dark hallways with scary monsters: Quake, Unreal, Doom, Prey, etc...
3. Halo

Bottom line...Halo stands out from the crowd. The others just blend in with the rest.

it seems u r not pro . in Counter strike there is no simple element at all ..

if u played once.. Using every weapon in EVERY map has complex & unique strategy..

for sure when u have distructible WORLD , PHYSICS and complex AI then FPS isnt simple..

What's up with all the references to KZ1? Another GG developed game by the name of KZ: Liberation does exist. GG redeemed themselves; give credit where it is due please.

Also as for how KZ2 plays, you can look at nearly any major gaming site for hands-on impressions on the pre-alpha build. Generally positive reviews. This is pretty much a guaranteed AAA title for the PS3.

Mean the 2nd one can be better and why are there so many morons thinking that Killzone 2 should be colorful dont people realize that Guerrilla isnt going for the Teletubbie look, like Bungie is doing with Halo 3 and of course Icwake is so dumb that he thinks that the AI in Halo were smart when they can be easily be killed I think people are using the word "Advance" in the wrong way considering there was no way the Convenants in Halo series were no way advance I mean come on. and again the only thing that was good in Halo 2 is the online but the campaign sucked monkey balls hardcore! and sony4life of course Halo 3 is going to be the last game thats why its called a trilogy not quallogy Ah!Duh!

and further more Call of Duty 4 and Killzone 2 for godsakes Call of Duty 4 is not CG so why are they compare a CG like game like Killzone 2 with a game like Call of Duty 4 that didnt cost a game company $20 million when those are just low budet games and not big budget like hollywood CG game like Killzone 2

Both Halo 3 and Killzone are great, but Killzone looks more serious, more emotional, and much more darker than Halo 3 plus it steals the show. Just look at the facial expression on the soldiers faces when they are in cold weather!!! It looks very close to the CGI E3 trailer 2005, which was controversial at the time. But!!! the developers of the game said that they never intend to compete with Halo 3 in the first place.

anyway Im a pro in FPS on PC .. and Know what gameplay means in FPS..

and I know when u have a REAL world in a game u can make a FAR BETTER gameplay than a simple graphic game.. because u have MORE elements than other one..

and its harder as well.. and make a BUG free and more Detailed game is VERY VERY HARDER even with 20million dollar..

Ok Killzone blew everyone away when they showed off the in game graphics..no one who commented here has ever played the game, but are sure that killzone will be a halo killer....I own both systems and I might buy both..I know for me Halo is a must buy. I've played Halo 1&2 so I gotta finish the fight. I believe Sony has had a lot of time to fix whatever glitches made killzone an awful game. One thing i know for sure is that Halo regardless of how it looks is going to have amazing single player and online multiplayer modes. Do we know if Killzone will hold up when it comes to the online play as it stand right now Sony has big time problems with its network. You guys should really wait til Killzone comes out to comment. UT3 will be way better than Killzone 2..and when Gears of War2 comes out you fanboys will wish it was on PS3.

There are some really stupid people on these forums and sometimes you just think whats the point even trying to enter into any serious argument with them.Half the people here seem to be about 10 years old with a further 1/4 of them having about the same mental age.Pathetic.

Halo3 is unlikely to be anything less than wonderful and will boast some beautiful graphics that fans of the series will be more than happy with.Most importantly it will play stupendously.

Killzone looks set to being technically better than Halo3 in graphics terms but with both being so gorgeous anyhow, will it really matter.A team of 200 people can go a long way to bringing together something extra special don't forget - ask yourself how an extra 100 men could further improve things for Halo as well(any game for that matter.Killzone is unproven as an AAA game so if you were to bet on one game here winning then it wouldn't be Killzone now would it.

I'm keen to see how Killzone performs as i very much liked the first game (even though it was only reasonable)but were it's gameplay not to match the graphics then what the point.

play both. They are both looking to be great games. If you can't, then buy the one you can and respect the other for what it does. No way KZ2 would be what it is today if were not for Halo. While graphics are extremely important for this kind of genre, I think everyone needs to wait and see how both look and play when they are finally released.

what exactly is there to compare? we have a trailer and a pre-alpha demonstration. Neither are going to prove which is the better game. It might hint at who has the better graphics. But who cares? Halo 3 doesn't need to have graphics like Killzone 2. The graphics on Halo 3 only need to be good to backup Halo's persistently great story and atmosphere. There were many games with better graphics than Halo 2 and halo 2 still outsold them.
Let's face it, Halo 3 would've sold millions of copies before you even see gameplay footage from Killzone 2.

Honestly, fanboy-ism on this site disgusts me. I can't believe ppl would hold such narrow views. In the thousand of halo MP games I've played, I don't ever recall stopping and thinking "Wow, this game is beautiful". Never. Halo has always and will always be about gameplay and experience. If you don't like it then fine, move on. It has always been engulfing the player in a indulging experience and for the most part it has exceeded expectations. Gears is a visual masterpiece. Has a solid campaign mode and good MP mode as well, but I think we all can agree that Gears MP mode fails in comparison to Halo's. Then comes Killzone, again, a beautiful game so far especially at a pre-alpha stage. There is little known about the MP mode but it has its work cut out compared to what Halo has done in terms of the xbox live experience. So to sum it up visually you cant compare the games, you'd have to be in straight denial to say halo is better looking than Killzone. However, halo is bar-none one of the finest multiplayer games ever released and that alone is enough for my money come Sept 25. Everyone should shut up, stop arguing and buy both these games. They won't disappoint.

Who ever made this video must have never thought about how good this comparison would be. These are completely different game that go in serperate directions. How do you compare a game that is made to look like real war while the other stick to tradition and stays away from what war games are known for(Hint: Halo 3)?

It's an unfair comparison and K2 should only be compared to games like call of duty 4 or gears of war. Even then K2 looks nothing like what it was sapposed to look like from last year, but still looks good.

The halo trailer is just horrible. Whoever edited it together should be trout-slapped by his fellow bungie employee.

And I don't get why people are so exited about killzone... the first one was horrible.

That said, it might be the better game of the two. In fact, either one could be. we just don't know yet. So chill and wait for the actual games, fanboys of both camps.

Halo 1-2 dominated in style of gameplay and sales. Halo 3 beta had an amazing turn out and serious gameplay hours logged. Halo 3 Has flying vehicles, multiple methods of travel on land with vehicles. And unique ways to travel without them. Diverse enemies that can fly and operate vehicles in multiple combat scenarios.

4 player multi player (Confirmed) in halo 3 on-line. And the best LAN party FPS game ever created in the halo series. Novels and graphic novels have been created detailing the halo universe. Halo 2 is packed full of gamers even as you read this.

Killzone 1 didn't even put a dent in halo series achievements. And you nuts think killzone 2 will. Yeagh right! This game won't be played for 3 years and have 10% of the following halo 2 had. And it will not compare absolutely nothing to halo 3's gameplay on-line or on-line. Does killzone have a replay editor and replay sharing...guess what HALO 3 does! Some level 9 retard said the first killzone would be a halo killer it failed and sony-droids have been hard at work wishing it true.

I don't care about pretty colors and shadows you think killzone 2 has in any game this is irrelavant to unbelievable gameplay. How many games have you went back to play just cause it looked cute here and there? They call it re-PLAY (key word: P-L-A-Y for the slow people) value for a reason and gameplay is what generates it.

Start wishing for some vehicle combat because all I have seen is little man run'n'gun action. Where is the superior gameplay in that I would fight for vehicle addition or better yet go form the notorious petition.

There so exited about killzone because of the graphics nothing else it seems like, want proof go to the first showing of the killzone trailer. I think there others games out there that just look just as good for instence call of duty 4.

Halo 1 - good graphics for the time, crap gameplay, crap story. Nothing new that hadnt been seen on a pc for years. Put it up against half life.

Halo 2 - crap graphics, crap gameplay, crap story, good online. More of the same, cant even compete with the likes of counterstrike. Also, just because it has sold loads, it dosent always make it great. Look at Cliff Richard (sold loads and loads of music but would you say he is any good?) This is a hard one based on the video cause the video itself is pretty lame. From what I have been hearing on G4 Halo 3 is gonna look simply stunning. I'm not a Halo fan as I think the games are way overrated but just looking at all trailers has me wanting to play this game. KZ2 for sure simply cause I have been waiting since 05 and HALO 3 is a definite possibility in a future gaming rotation.

We need to wait for both to games to be released before we pass a verdict .

Halo 3 was brilliant graphics. But Killzone's are even better.

Halo 3's gameplay would have all the brilliant stuff from the old Halo games but now with loads of new weapons, huge stages, open missions, massive confrontations and cool features like the ability to save and replay gameplay footage. I also think Halo has the better art design by far.

Killzone I reckon would play like Call of Duty. Hectic action, but ultimately linear gameplay. With the addition of a cool new cover system. Disagree if you want, it's only my opinion.

Either way, Halo isn't out yet, and Killzone is very early, so let's wait till both games are released.

There is now way that KZ2 is pre-alpha. I mean, the whole level, with programmed AI, with human voice-actors, without graphics bugs and glitches, with 60fps... It looks like BETA to me. I mean, just remember how DOOM 3 alpha looked like. Now, THAT was an ALPHA! Alpha version of the game (or any software) is for programmers eyes ONLY! So, it's not an alpha, and there is no such thing as "pre-alpha" stage of development.

You cannot compare KZ2 with Halo 3!!!! You need to compare this game with CoD 4, Half-Life 2, Unreal Tournament, last but not least Crysis. Killzone 2 is graphicly in depth more than Halo 3. But none of us don't know the gameplay for Killzone 2. We all know the gameplay for Halo 3. It's Halo's storyline and gameplay makes it a pioneer in FPS games. If you want to compare graphics, compare it to Crysis. IMO Crysis is the best looking FPS over Halo 3 & Killzone 2. If you fangirl b!tches don't believe me, check out the link below...

Reason being Killzone is for the Ps3 and this is your "answer" to Halo 3 and the reason why fangirls catfighting each other on this website. The fact is the gameplay better rival Halo 3. That's why the Halo franchise has been a success these past years. I hope Sony came correct this time around. If they didn't, Killzone 2 will be just another FPS. The alpha version of kz2 beats halo 3 finial version no question about it

who ever thinks that kz2 can be done on the xbox 360 they are crazy. they had two years to show us if it could be done and it has not happen. While the ps3 only took one year.

As I've said numerous times; you can look it up if you want, Gran Turismo and GTA own Halo when it comes to sales. Every single time.

1. Look at both Killzone 2 and Halo 3's E3 2007 trailers - the winner is clear.

2. Anyone who has played the Halo 3 beta {me} knows that Halo 3 is using Halo 2's {from xbox 1} game engine and it shows - next generation gaming? hmmm... Meanwhile killzone2 uses PS3 Cell and RSX graphics chips.

3. Look at the n4g hottest game rating for Killzone2 compared to Halo 3

Even with KILLZONE 2 in its Delta or Pre-Alpha version its looking good I say better than Halo 3. I know Halo 3 will look grand, but it doesn't have the same atmosphere. KILLZONE 2 is a dark atmosphere of war and Halo is all outside in the daytime. At least that is all that I have seen of it.

KILLZONE 2 can look even better in another 6-8 months before release as well. I would only compare it to Too Human, Gears of War 2, Resistance 2, or whatever else is down the line in 2008 for both consoles.
