Zack from GWN revisits the Nintendo press conference to find out if the Nintendenite tribe have prospered since last year's ritual.
"It has been a year since I bid farewell to the peaceful yet socially inept Nintendenites. Since then I have seen many things and had countless adventures, but always, in the back of my mind I wondered affectionately about my old friends. Have they prospered? Have they suffered? Have they moved out of their parent's dwellings?
All these questions tugged at the back of my mind. So, it was with great enthusiasm that I received the news that I would be allowed to visit the Nintendites once again, to follow up on my studies, and perhaps gain greater understanding of this kind, solitary people.
7:45 a.m. - I meet the Sherpa that will transport me to the Nintendites new temple. He is a friendly bear of a man, of stocky yet solid build. Perhaps the Nintendites have adopted a worker/warrior class. We set off in the Sherpa's carriage."

The Wii is now a retro console. Let’s get nostalgic about an often maligned system.
Crazy to think the WII is to the Switch 2, as the NES was to the WII back then. 20 Year difference.
My wife asks me to bust it out (heh) everyone once in a while to play bowling and tennis with the kids. There was a ton of slop on it but some good stuff as well.
Wii was great but boy howdy did it cause Microsoft to go on a dark walk with the Kinect and the disastrous XBox One launch that they arguably never recovered from.
Not nostalgic for me.. I was there.. anyone who wasnt a little kid realized it was a gamecube with shit tacked onto it, it was the "joke" system and was well below even the switch in terms of comparing it to the latest machines at the time. The machine was well loved by young people and "casual gamers" who now remember it 20 years on, or in most cases more of its sales came in the 15-20 years ago range not right at launch- but again its not nostalgic for people who were "gamers" then really, just for those who ended up with one in their house, the games , graphics, interface and online features were archaic already in 2006.

New Chrono Trigger Form-ism figures of Crono and Marle have been showcased at a Square Enix pop-up store, with pre-orders expected soon.

The Nintendo DS has some amazing titles available. Here are some of the best nostalgic games that every child of the DS era grew up playing.
I enjoyed both Rush games, I did think the action was sometimes too fast to see what was coming up in terms of hazards though, which meant replaying the same stage a bunch of times, other than that they were enjoyable, good special stages, 3D sections and bosses for the most part.
DS is one of the best consoles of all time. Such a rich library of software
Zelda were all glorious on it.
