Laggy online? Strange, today is my day off and ive been playing Halo 3 for the past three hours and i havent ran into a laggy match yet.

I'll keep playing and then maybe i'll let ya know when i run into a bad egg. I mean it does happen from time to time, like idk, maybe 1 out of every 10-20, maybe even 30 matches? But then you knew that since you play it all the time, didnt you?

@wrathman that problem last less then 24hrs. Get over it.
Oh and xbots don't think they are going to hear from the droids when stuff like this happens, bots give us crap all the time about better online service.
Clearly both have there problems, but at least I'm not paying for my problems.
Maybe this will help them justify raising the price of xbl(100 bucks a year. It's coming)

other features 360 removes: remove online for silver member, remove wifi feature, remove reliability.

The only issue I had today was I got kicked off during BFBC2 online. A bit off topic but has anyone else noticed the lag during BFBC2? It's not a constant lag but some times when you move forward it'll jerk you back. Has any one else had this issue lately? I just got new internet so it would be nice to know if it's the servers or my connection. Thanks!

For your questions, yes i'm having this problem as well. not only in the moving forward and backward. But also when shooting it also lags as well

I guess it's the servers of BF: BC2 not the Xbox LIVE

yea the last week and a half has been problematic for BC2, rubberbanding and lag issues have been popping up more often. last friday morning was hell, for the first time i was booted back to the dashboard and lost connection to the ea servers about 4 times. oddly, i have never had it happen to me before and it hasn't happened since. its too bad we dont have a server list to choose from as the problems most likely stem from connection to servers that are very far from the client.

LOL @ the disagrees! It's true, for me at least. So far I've played the following games on PSN with way less lag than Live: Street fighter IV, KZ2, HAWX and MAG. I don't own to many PS3 games because I do most my online gaming on Live but I've experienced way more lag on live than I have on PSN. Not sure what the issue is maybe the live community is to huge for the amount of servers in use?

Dude, you have no idea how Live or PSN works. Any games that don't use dedicated servers (Street fighter IV, HAWX) are solely laggy depending on the host Xbox/PS3 user's internet connection since they are the server.

Almost no game uses peer to peer. Peer to Peer has everyone as "host" and slows the game down for everyone to keep everyone in sync. Server/client is how almost every game runs. A dedicated server is simply a machine that DOES NOT use the xbox/ps3/PC resources for rendering the game or sound etc. That's why it's called DEDICATED server, the machine is dedicated to solely acting as a server, not rendering the game or other CLIENT tasks. What most PS3 and Xbox games have is a listen server. It's the same server/client protocol a dedicated server would use, except the server isn't dedicated, it's also rendering the game because it's also acting as a player as well.

BF:BC2 runs on dedicated servers for PC/XBOX/PS3. The servers are ran SOLELY by EA. PSN/Live have no effect on any game period. The only thing PSN/Live can do is drop your connection or slow matchmaking (matchmaking is done by Live/PSN on almost all games).

I want to put these facts out there for those who care about truth.

Please don't be so immature. This is getting ridiculous. I'm PS3 fanboy and sometimes I do feel a little embarassed by comments some of you make.

Take the high road. For once do that. Don't lower yourselves to their level. They started all the BS years ago and now they've been proven wrong. Don't you be the ones to start a new cycle of BS.

20 minutes is nothing. One day is nothing. Two days is something and everything beyond that is just not wright. After 2 days let us come back and check which is the one service you pay for and which one is not shall we?

Well yeah. I wouldn't go calling xbl a flawed service cause of 20 minutes.

However the fact that x360 comes with a mike really means there are more screaming online. This is something I thank Sony every day. No headsets by default --> not as many people with mikes online --> not as much screaming --> I'm a happier gamer online. I DON'T WANT TO LISTEN TO STRANGERS ARGUING ALL THE TIME. Nig*er this and ho*ose*ual this and it goes on and on. People online are crazy since there's no need to be polite like in real world. You might get your face kicked in othewise=)

Also the games that get the most hours online on x360 draws a clear picture of the age structure of xbl.

Honestly, not even gonna read the article or whatever because I've been having this issue for the past 2 @#$$#ing years. Luckily, it hasn't bothered me at all but still a present issue. I downloaded one of the sonic games and i had to remove it for space then when i got a bigger hard drive it and downloaded it again it kept giving me the trail version. I hope this is what they're talking about....well i guess i will read the article then i guess lol
