Video game helps alcoholics prevent relapse

OrlandoSentinel: When recovering alcoholics enter rehab, they're taught how to make better life choices for themselves when they step back into the real world. Because of three professors at the University of Central Florida, recovering addicts may one day learn those skills through a role-playing video game.

The game, titled "Guardian Angel," is being developed for Health Games Research by UCF professors Dr. Marcia Verduin, Clint Bowers and Janice Cannon-Bowers, in conjunction with the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Charleston, S.C. The game will give recovering alcoholics a chance to practice skills designed to help them prevent a relapse in a safe environment.

Yakuza Live-Action Miniseries Debuts March 17 Exclusively on IGN

A three-episode live-action adaptation of the first two Yakuza video games will debut Tuesday, March 17 exclusively IGN. Each episode is about an hour long and will stream on IGN.com and IGN’s YouTube channel.
