I hate racing games, but Twisted Metal has always had a place in my heart. I'm sure nothing will release this year however, a new TM game would be c0ckblocking GT and Mod Nation Racers. I think it will be a 2011 release.

Sony probably isn't letting Jaffe officially announce what the game is, but that isn't stop this dude from constantly teasing gamers with what it might be. I think it's Twisted Metal but Sony may not want to let it out of the bad because a hidden arsenal is better than a fully known lineup. Maybe Sony doesn't want Microsoft to know so that Microsoft won't be able to counter with anything.

doctorstrange5876d ago

The reason why Sony doesnt want the game to be revealed is that they like to announce them at proper events like E3, where they can get the most coverage.

decimalator5876d ago

Yeah, I'm guessing it will be revealed at E3

West_Coast_G5875d ago

We might hear/see something at E3, but considering it's still in the story board stage, we probably won't see this game on store shelves until 2H 2011

SlyGuy5875d ago

...by buying the rights to produce Vigilante 8? lol.

On another note...man I cannot WAIT for a new TM on PS3. I hope the multiplayer is as awesome as Warhawk. It definitely has HUGE potential on the trey.

Jaffe...how long will you keep at it, man - just reveal the game

Trexman895875d ago

I can't really make out the images that well.

Ed Wood5875d ago

I don't know, is anyone else really bored w/ Jaffe? When I think of what game he is making and his blogs I just lose interest immediately. I mean if you want to talk about your damn game then do so if not then stop the crap until you are ready to talk about it.

If Jaffe was not so insistent of the fact that he can not talk about his game yet and then he actually does that is one thing but he clearly states to the press that he is under lock and key but then does these lame attempts to tease? Whatever. Keep contradicting yourself Jaffe and I will slowly keep ignoring you and think what a wonderful developer you used to be.

LeonSKennedy4Life5875d ago

You're like the kid who plays hide 'n seek...but gets bored halfway through and ditches the game...even though you're the only one who wanted to play in the first place.

Nobody wants to play with you...and that hot chick you were hoping to hide with is going home with another dude.

Wow cyberpunk is a great pick up. If you haven’t played it you should definitely give it a try

Christopher312d ago

Banishers was dragged down by the need to go back to old areas multiple times.

GhostScholar312d ago

Also if you bought it at launch and couldn’t deal with all the bugs it’s a totally different game now

stupidusername312d ago

Played it on release and thought it was a mess. But I'm currently playing it again now on both PS5 and Switch 2 with cross save progression, and it's really different to how I remember it. Really enjoying it now, and it's really polished and immersive.

darthv72313d ago

Despite owning the 2077 One X console and the steelbook edition of the game... i still have never played it. I may actually give 2077 a try (via the portal) as there has been so much talk about it again, thanks to SW2 and now this comparison vid from DF. https://youtu.be/SvGQik3m6a...

dveio313d ago (Edited 313d ago )

I think it's an okay decision or happening.

iirc, wasn't there even a new and probably last update coming soon announced recently?

I've never played 2077, neither. (I am still a bit mad about their ... well, anyway.)

But I think it can't get better to play that game, or any game for that matter, in a 100% complete, fully updated build.

DivineHand125313d ago

Cyberpunk and Risk of rain 2 are the best of the bunch. Not a bad month if you are one of the few that haven't played those games.

yeastori312d ago

Cyberpunk is probably one of the best games I've ever played, even when it came out with all the bugs and glitches and broken gameplay on consoles, I still loved it at its core because the world was exactly what I wanted in a dystopian vision of the real future and the story was actually well done and compelling. With the fixes and then Phantom Liberty I just knew that this game could've been GOTY winner if it hadn't been released too early and released on PS5. XBX and two years later.

shinXseijuro312d ago

Might give cyberpunk a chance now that the game redeemed itself . Is it only the basic game or with the newer content ?

xHeavYx312d ago

According to the article, it's just the base game, but the DLC will be 30% off

TM3 is my favorite but I'll take what they bring out gladly. Fun times back in the day and great soundtracks

Cacabunga594d ago

Last one on ps4 wasn’t good at all.
Hoping for some good reboot or remake of the first 3

Dagexon594d ago

You mean the one on ps3?

Cacabunga594d ago

Yes i do, thanks! I realized too late couldn’t edit

Lego 2K Drive features an exciting mode called Brick Brawl, inspired by Twisted Metal. Players can create, share, and upload various cars, including ones like Sweet Tooth. The game boasts thousands of custom cars, ranging from the Batmobile to the Sweet Tooth ice cream truck.

InUrFoxHole595d ago

Never understood the like for the series. Not my bag but I know a lot of gamers are clamoring for a new game and liked the TV. Series

TiredGamer594d ago (Edited 594d ago )

TM1 and 2 are time period classics. They were a bit rough, ugly, and grungy, but they felt right during the time period they were released and they scratched that early console “death match” itch before FPS games would completely swallow that market.

Many great memories with friends playing couch co-op and 1v1. Short, and quick-and-dirty gameplay that we returned to over and over. I’d buy a remake or proper remastering of the first two games day one.

InUrFoxHole594d ago

Lol, nice! I remember having the tiger handheld or watch..

FinalFantasyFanatic594d ago

I played those so much as I kid, I bought the Twisted Metal games that were on PSN as Playstation Classics, wow, they feel clunky by today's standards, they could really use the remake/remaster treatment.

UltimateOwnage594d ago

Twisted Metal: Black is when the series really hit for me. I still love that game so much. It was kind of downhill for the series after that IMO. I'd love to see the series go back to its roots, but I don't hold out a lot of hope for David Jaffe coming back from where he is these days to oversee development of a competent sequel.

Snookies12594d ago

Black was the pinnacle in my opinion. I adored TM1 and TM2, for sure. But Black brought it to a whole new level of awesome.
