I was really underwhelmed by that conference. Nothing we didn't know already. No price cut. Just a cheap piece of plastic with 5 buttons, a 360 that looks like it had been puked, and a reminder that the 360 has a lot of games coming out for it.

Overall, besides Assassin's Creed, COD4 and RE5 that was a complete waste of time.

Don't like the green colour at all, bronzing looks alright... I certainly would not get this even as a Halo fan.

and even my biased eyes can't see that as a good color choice.

you guys dont bring up the color choice for the halo version of the origianl xbox....IT WAS THE EXACT same color, and it sold out all limited edition copies.

since its limited edition you should hope that is doesnt die when they stop making these thing. plus M$ is making it to hard for customers when it comes to buying a 360 now there are 4 SKUs to choose from. Come on make up your mind and drop the Core version come on.

at least based upon the general consensus so far. At least with a faceplate, you can always remove it when it gets tiresome or something new comes along.

Personally I don't think it looks too bad, just somewhat bland for something the scale of Halo 3. I think there should be some very artistic designs to more accurately reflect the game itself.

I owned a halo 2 xbox. (DOA in Japan) released in Japan and Canada. When the 360 came out I sold it on ebay for $30 more than what I paid for it without the halo2 game that came with it. So it may be worth it if you think you might want to flog your 360 in the future.

Mind you it was a cool blue colour.

It is green because master chief's armor is green. Everybody knows this. It is the obvious choice for the color.

I believe they are making a statement with this console. Halo 3 is XBOX, and they may as well have an XBOX that is painted after the systems best selling franchise. Speaking of franchise, notice that the system itself is the merchandise, the accessory to Halo 3. Usually they'll release different looking controllers, sometimes gold games (Zelda, anyone?) but the core system itself being sold with the color scheme of master chiefs armor? I wouldn't buy it for fear of being someone Microsoft knows they'll make a quick buck off of, but I know a lot of people are going to go out and buy this thing anyway.

why didnt he show this off at the beginning so we'd see all the good stuff at the end...as soon as he pulled it out all i thought was "that sh!ts ugly, theres no way im gettin that"....and he showed it off like its the best thing ever, all c0cky and confident....that halo real life video was pretty cool though...and gears looked better on pc than 360 and there was a brumak fight.....that made me mad

I haven't read all the post but I know a few are thinking MS will foul up this holiday season by offering 4 SKU's, that's not the case. What's the difference between the SE HALO Xbox n' the SE HALO 3 360? Nothing, this isn't something that will be on the market forever, it's LE n' once it's gone it's gone, just as it's predecessor. As far as why they're not including the game that's pretty obvious; there are 3 SKU's to that as well. You get whichever YOU want. It was the right move. But I do understand those who say that whomever purchases this console must be a die hard fan n' will certainly go for the Legendary edition of HALO 3, so it should just be one large package...with what...a $600 price tag? I sold both my 360's (but that trip to Chicago was worth it...) n' need another before Sept. Honestly I'd cancel my Legendary Edition I've had pre-ordered since day 1 n' snatch this thing up if it were bundled. But since it's not... I don't know, an Elite is looking good. Depends on the pricing, if it's over 4 bucks (n' I'm sure it will be) I'm not touching it.

The first Xbox had a great Halo edition. Now MS goes and screws up big time on this one. All they had to do was make it Dark Green. Anyway any chance of a MGS4 PS3 edition? LOL

first off, Xbox has to do with green, and this green is similar to the camouflaged color the US Army uses, I think it looks sweet. I bet you Army guys will pick this up as it matches pretty well.
