He's got some artisitic abilities but I wouldn't say he's a prodigy or even a professional. He's got his own style and some people like it while others don't. I for one don't care for his intellectual properties. In my opinion, he has a very sheltered, adolescent, and narrow point of view when it comes to emotional expression. I think he's more of a "cult classic" than an admirable artist/game developer.

The one thing I do agree with him on is the importance of having a linear gameplay. It doesn't necessarily need to be a strict linear game but throughout the multiple paths one can take in a non-linear game there needs to be a linear component that solidifies advancement and acts as a reference to clarify direction and produce a coherent story.
