Play.tm: Alpha Protocol Preview

Trying something different, Obsidian has gone for a modern-day setting for their espionage RPG. Essentially, Alpha Protocol is an intriguing entry to the RPG genre. With enough content to share over 30 hours of gameplay and several different endings, classes and styles to try out.

Might be nice, Obsidian is making it. :)

i never played any of their games but this game looks good. I hope its better then Mass Effect 2.

...released last year but is still so rough around the edges. Either way I'm still very interested in this game as I'd like to get my western RPG fix from Mass Effect 2 but it's not on my console of choice at the moment nor will my wife let me install it on her laptop right now :(

If it's going to be better than Mass Effect 2, it will have to be one hell of a great game. I just don't think it will make it.

One of the few 7th gen game that I'll full heartedly support for a remake.
Its a very unique RPG and deserves its faults fixed the 2nd time.

I would be so for this. Alpha Protocol is the definition of a diamond in the rough. Before being acquired by Microsoft, Obsidian presented their ideas for a sequel, multiple times, but were always shot down. Even something simple like a remaster is very unlikely.

Still have a physical copy for my PS3. Clunky at times but I had a lot of fun with it back in the day.

Had some issues but that game was brilliant.

Spec Ops: The Line was super dark.

Incredible story.

SheenuTheLegend733d ago

all the games in the above list are bang on. this is the only reason we need backwards compatibility and physical presense of games for the upcoming future, no matter what.

Honorable mention to the excellent Driveclub, one of the best racing games of all-time and one of my favourite games ever.

melons734d ago

yes! incredible rain effects; so good to drive along in rain with your Spotify playlist blaring

Skuletor733d ago

I really wanted a MotorStorm using the same engine, Driveclub is easily one of the best looking games on PS4 and I'm surprised they didn't even give it a PS4 Pro patch.

ravens52733d ago

Yes indeed. May just install it on my PS5. You know, physical copy and all.

monkey602733d ago

I adored Driveclub and the Bike expansion. I also loved Motorstorm. Evolution shutting down was a crime

Outrun Online Arcade, Sega Rally Online Arcade, After Burner Climax... all good stuff. I keep my 360 hooked up to play these as well as the TMNT games that were also delisted.

Skuletor733d ago

I have quite a few of these. Timed licenses suck.

Terry_B733d ago (Edited 733d ago )

wow...I have all of them except the Nintendo ones either in physical or digital version.

Also..Deadpool the Game is missing on that list.
