Totally agreed on all points. Especially #3. I always reach a point in the game where I basically have to force myself to keep going. The story basically ends before the last gym so there's very little reason (beside being a completionist) to continue on. I just don't care enough to beat the Elite Four. I want a story that compells me to keep going.
I know their traget audience is still a younger generation, but I think it could still grow up a little to appeal to the older gamers, but still hit those youngsters.
