Edge: In its previous guise as Swordfish Studios, Codemasters Birmingham produced workmanlike action games including Cold Winter, a Rare-inspired FPS, and the improbably respectable 50 Cent: Blood On The Sand. But the relationship with its current owner goes right back to games like Jonah Lomu Rugby, made when it was part of the Rage Games network, and the Brian Lara International Cricket series.
Now, as maker of Formula 1 2010, it's landed the publisher's biggest and bravest sports licence to date. Chief designer Stephen Hood and senior producer Paul Jeal describe the challenge.

The ParaNerds know as much about Formula 1 racing as they do about the evolution of man. In other words very little. Here we have a Formula 1 racer for the iOS, is this racer the right formula?

GameDynamo says, "The four-year hiatus for the officially licensed Formula One series has ended with the anticipated release of F1 2010 for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. The international racing sensation that started in the 1940s has become a common household name, so it’s no wonder developer Codemasters Birmingham chose to enter the race with the revival of the venerable Formula One series with F1 2010. With a respectable amount of solid racing titles on the market including Blur, the Forza series, and even Codemasters’ own DiRT 2 and GRID, is F1 2010 worth the price of admission?"

Never let it be said that you can learn nothing about a game from the ageing, apparently random chunk of licensed music that plays before you press Start. There are many poignant verses in Ian Brown’s acrostic FEAR, one of which describes Formula 1 2010 to a tee. “Forget Everything And Remember,” it goes - and so Codemasters has.
Despite other reviews giving it better scores, this is actualy my favirote review. Sweet.
Day one for me, well hopefully minus 1 or 2 days, *crosses fingers*
Wait till you see EDGE's review for GT5!!!
6/10
Reason: Its on PS3 (just that is enough)
lolol
So glad I haven't give them a single hit for 3 years now :)
Graphics look very nice too, might have to get this. Have not bought a Formula racing game since the dreamcast. This might be the one to get and with Ian Brown on the playlist, thats just one more reason for me to get this!
