Quantum Theory Delayed Again... Until Summer 2010

DualShockers writes, "For gamers who have been waiting a long time for one of the most talked about titles to spring up in a while for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 systems, DualShockers regrets to inform you that your wait just grew! Originally Tecmo Koei's original IP Quantum Theory was originally shown to the world in 2008 and immediately its momentum as a possibly great game began to build in snowballing proportions. However, many people feel this game may be a bit rough around the edges while some simply label it a Gears of War clone and call it a day."

the more worried i get for the future of this title. I can't see this getting any better.

pixelsword5869d ago

you have to face it, Gears is the best sci-fi TPS out right now.

Kevin ButIer5869d ago

Summer... wow thats hot... NAH

Carl14125868d ago

I lost interest in this game many moons ago

Blaze9295868d ago

hopefully the delay was the realization that they needed co-op in this game. Can't believe that seriously is not a feature for this title.

lil Titan5868d ago

if a demo wont come out for games like this i should be able to play a quick 5 min of it to see if its worth the 15 min drive to gamestop

mikeslemonade5868d ago

The game was exclusive to PS3. Now it's coming on 360 also, so because they're making two versions instead of one they're going to take longer.

They're just another company that cares more about money than creating a quality game.

Prototype5868d ago

I'll still give it a shot, sometimes the underdog games end up being instant sleeper hits.

Rainstorm815868d ago

Didnt they change the name at one point?

The most excitement this game ever built up was from the CG trailer when it was debuted.

When the actual gameplay looked nothing like that and suffered from "Gears wannabe" syndrome all hype died....and the delays arent helping matters.

theEnemy5868d ago

the porting of the game to the 360 made the delay.

oh well.. good luck to them.

Commander TK5868d ago

it was announced as a multiplat

Pillage055868d ago

I lost interest in this game when...well I never had interest in this game.

One of the most talked about? Hardly.

Hitman07695869d ago

Well we as gamers talk a lot about all of the announced titles, but as far as I can tell this game has been flagged as the second coming and every one has put in their two cents about it although it hasn't actually been released yet. You can disagree and I respect you sharing your view on the matter, however the internet seems (in my opinion) a wash with speculation for any title coming from a large publisher to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Quantum Theory has been talked about since 2008 and still you can find it on may people's Wish List at Amazon.com and beyond.

Everyone seems to have their own opinions about the game which is not necessarily a good thing since the real thing might not live up to those years of speculation.

Greywulf5869d ago (Edited 5869d ago )

I really want to know how many people cant wait to play this, have it pre-ordered..

hell I wonder if any Quantum theory stories got any heat after it went multiplat. I think that was the only real hot news.

Who on gods green earth is hyping this as "SECOND COMING?"

I know dualshockers is a garbage website, but jesus you're making stuff up now.

I'd love to know 4 other "gamers" on the planet/universe that are hyping up this game outside of you disguising yourself as other accounts in your own comment section on DSckers.

edit:

double lol @ second coming.. thats reaching so far.

boodybandit5868d ago (Edited 5868d ago )

Come again?

This game was barely on most gamers (I personally know) radar.
I honestly don't know 1 gamer that ever talked about this game or is waiting for it's arrival. Until I saw this headline I all but forgot it was coming out this year. I honestly forgot about it. That is how excited I am and shooters is my favorite genre.

Pedobear Rocks5869d ago

and closed beta'd and focused grouped and will still suck @ss when it is released.

PBR

taz80805869d ago

Then it will be like Modern Warfare 2, zing! O wait that wasnt tested at all.

Hitman07695869d ago

If any one is like me, they are not only frustrated by delays, but heavily DISTRACTED by them. Quantum Theory is a member of a very special list of games in my mind. A list of games I constantly forget about! How could I think of Gran Turismo 5 when Forza 3, Need for Speed Shift, and countless others were there for the plundering? How could I concentrate on how great Final Fantasy XIII would be when all I could think about is how bad I wanted to play an RPG NOW!

Maybe it is just me, but it seems like a delay from a game that was being considered as potentially one of the next great shooters of this generation will have a hard time living up to its hype when there is a new shooter being announced every day. If there is one thing I have learned about buying games it is not to wait for games in this special area. Sure they MIGHT be good when they finally get around to releasing, but I don't want to sit here with no new games for 2-4+ years while I wait. I will instead be drawn to games that will actually release, imagine that!

so did I.

Nah most of the Soulslike games turned out pretty good. Probably the only one I didn't much like was Immortal Unchained.

I don't care what this guy think after he called Way of The Samurai 3 an awful game.

Bigpappy4562d ago

with Quantum Theory, I played the demo and was not impressed. I felt like they were trying to mix Gear of War with Lost Planet, and didn't do either very well. May be someone who never played either would have a blast with it though.

fOrlOnhOpe574561d ago

Yeah, I played the demo too but couldn't finish it....the thought of therapy was too much lol

SyphonELITE4561d ago

damn, i never even heard of this game til now

Yui_Suzumiya4561d ago

I followed this game forever until I finally came out. I got it and loved every bit of it. Originally supposed to be a PS3 exclusive. It got horrible reviews and I didn't understand any of them. They must've been playing a different game then me!

Spore_7774561d ago

Never played it, never will -_-
