Oh good. I was getting worried there for a second. Man, what would I ever do if Splinter Cell Conviction didn`t come out this year? I guess I would have to settle for Heavy Rain, God of War 3, MAG, Yakuza 3, White Knight Chronicles, or MLB10. Man, that would suck for me.

Has a game ever released a demo only to be delayed? (Besides GT5).

Hmmm, 1 week till release and still no reviews. Usually not a good sign. Uncharted 2 and God Of War 3 had reviews months before release.

I'll take the latest 576p Conviction game with on line play over the waiting game any day. I mean how many times are you going to finish GoW 3?? There isn't even on line play to help its cause or in Heavy Rain. All you can do now is trade them in for credit.

hello everyone,im finding it quite funny that all the xbox users are calling out the ps3 users to be fan boys because its not coming out on ps3.i HAVE played the demo for said game,and to be fair was not impressed at all.thats only my opinion,and obviously not that of everyone...but i also own a ps3,and if this ever does end up on ps3,i for one shall not buy it,reasons???i like stealth games,this sc feels more like a gears clone now.if want to play gears style games,then ill play gears,simple as that.oh and removal of body moving/hiding is silly,cant remember any other sc game without it.can call me a purest,but want that what all the games in the series were about?SO to all the xbox users who enjoy'd the demo,great,youll probably enjoy the game,but for me,action games should be just that,and stealth games just that as well.not trying to fanboi the gamerzone but had to say something if this is the way companies are going with brilliant series of games,i for one am really disappointed,as others probably are too

im a huge splinter cell fan chaos theory being my faviroute allthough they hav all been gud up to now but the demo ive just played isnt splinter cell the graphics are piss poor splinter cell used to set the bench mark the gameplay reminds me of a poor mans gears of war and wots with the auto target not good at ill rent it to see if its any better by then but up to now not impressed

Ill give this a rent. Not a huge fan of the new approach that has been taken to the Splinter Cell franchise. Lets just hope they have pressure sensitive controls in the retail game.

This will probably score 7/10, doesn't mean it will be bad, just average to good. I understand certain console gamers have had little to shout about lately and this is a great opportunity for some sort of verbal revenge, but just because some of us are disappointed with the demo and are thus less than optimistic for the full game doesn't make people rabid fanboys its just genuinely how we feel about the game including me.

I hope the rest of the game is not as pathetic as the demo...

I'm a long time SC fan and I played the single player at a LA release party and this game is way better then the demo! I counted over 12 hand to hand takedowns that where not even in the demo. Example: choke out with the shotgun stock.

Not really. That's what rentals are for. I cant go around throwing money down for every game that is only 8 hours long just cause it's got pretty graphics. I prefer to buy games with on line play it adds more to the value of the game or you get more bang for your buck some would say. Im afraid this gen half the fun is on line. Single player is great but it's got to be lenghty otherwise im not paying over $60 for a one time deal that will last 7-8 hours. That's what rentals are for so no i haven't missed much.

Where did you get your copy of conviction beofore anyone else? You are right about cut scenes though. MGS4 was pretty much all about cut scenes, more like a movie. MGS4 was crap, i was dissapointed to be honest. Graphics were great but that's about it. The story was just a bloody mess in my opinion. Snake Eater was the best in the series tied with the original MGS for playstation. I'll take Splinter Cell series any day for my stealth/espionage needs.

Well, I for one, am looking forward to SC:C. I haven't really played any Splinter Cells in the past, and the demo was quite enjoyable. So naturally, I wouldn't share in the gripes that fans of the series have about the game going in a new direction. I probably won't be picking it up Day One, but I will definitely be purchasing it.

And LOL at the Sony Fanboys, their just rabid because they really don't know what they'll have to play till their next exclusive is released. And most of them avoid Multiplatforms like the plague. ROFLMAO!

Why does it have to be Sony fanboys....just because the demo wasn't great it has to come from PS3 owners, maybe the PS3 owners also on a 360 as well?
Even some 360 owners even thought the demo was garbage....hopefully the rest of the game isn't like that, now if it was a Sony exclusive game....the Xbox patrol would be all over it (which obviously has happened with KZ2, UC2, and even Infamous), so 360 fans are just as bad...everyone plays both sides of the fence, so everyone needs to cut the bullsh!t about PS3 fans are the ones talking about the game/demo...you may be surprised that the comments made are from actual 360 owners.. 0_o

i'll b honest, i'd lacked faith in my 360 recently but in a way that was good cus it ment the 2010 line ups snuck up on me and splinter cell is just round the corner :D

my pc is more than capable of running it at max tho but getting on 360 to play co-op with mates. should be a lot of fun

iam own all consoles and could not give crap about fanboy sh*t but this game has ruined the splinter cell franchise you dont need use stealth when do its just to easy graphics are not what i thought would of been when being in development 5 years. they where better when saw game it at private viewing in london 3 and half years ago but the games has change completeley since then.

Well looks like i will have my final opinion in about 7 hours my sources are uploading as type. strangley eaither thougth the pc version delayed they all say there expect to have in about a day.

My bat this game looks really bad WTF gameplay looks horrid can't believe what I am seeing really the bar has been raised too high for this game to matter.

I played every single SC game and I will NOT be buying this for a number of reasons:

1) No spies vs. Merc. This was the epitome of work as a team. Dropping down on an isolated merc and snapping his neck only to ehar him scream thru his mic for his buddy and just as you drop the smoke and start climbing away you ehar the sound of blind frags from his teammate trying to get you. This was also the first teabag game for me.

2) Stealth is gone. No, ratching up the difficulty is not envoking stealth. All the fun for me was creeping around, messing with enemies, hiding bodies, creeping around, using gadgets, creeping around, but, I digresss.

3)DRM. In the last year I picked up a decent gaming rig and was really excited to make SPC a game to add to my library. DRM ruins that for me. My internet can go in and out and I will not let Ubi have all my saves, and pretty much grab my balls to make sure I am not playing a pirated copy.

This series, along with MGS and a couple others have been the staple of my gaming diet for years. to ahve the devs go into a "new direction" just to appease the casual market makes me sick. I paid hard earned cash for every game, I never have download a game illegally and really enjoy what they had going on in the series.
