Capcom's original Lost Planet, released 2007, felt like a next-generation videogame. Lost Planet 2, launching this spring, feels closer to the next evolution of Hollywood; the advances are profound. Were it not for the backdrop of E.D.N. III, its indigenous insectoid Akrid creatures, and Snow Pirates fighting for survival, Lost Planet 2 might be a different game entirely. It's the best-looking bug-hunt since Starship Troopers in Campaign mode, offering gob-smacking team-based multiplayer with aplomb.
