Is this deal available for PC as well?

HammockGames5896d ago

ME1 is great. Not without its flaws, but very well done.

ME2 is simply phenomenal. Flaws = fixed & everything positive about the first entry is even better. Very impressive work by Bioware.

If you've got a decent PC or a 360, don't miss out.

solidt125896d ago

If you don't have neither one of these titles here is the perfect opportunity to get both.

Agent_Cody_Banks5896d ago (Edited 5896d ago )

I loved the first Mass Effect but I keep forgetting to pick up the second. Once I beat FFXIII I should make it a priority, that is if Red Dead Redemption isn't out by that time.

Edit: Never mind I guess Red Dead won't be out until May. I got plenty of time.

Morituri5896d ago

I am never, ever , ever going to buy a 360 exclusive game at launch ever ever again. For some reason, 360 games drop in price far far faster than PS3 games, and at a steeper dive. If I wait long enough, I can get it new AND at a crazy price.

armycore5896d ago

You do have a good point. They do drop pretty fast.

ProA0075896d ago

I think that's because...well, they actually 'sell' quick enough that money is regained allowing retailers and publishers flexibility in pricing after break-even.

I mean FFS look at Heavenly Sword on PS3...still $59.99 MSRP. Uncharted 1 just reached greatest hits what, last year? I think 360 gamers actually buying their games quick when they come out is the reason why their game prices become so flexible so soon.

rogimusprime5896d ago

Halo 3 was $60 bucks for well over a year, despite selling millions. Your point is taken, but its really subjective what games drop. Yes, Sony is slower to drop prices in some instances, but Mass Effect hasn't even been out 3 months and they are dropping it already.

Either way, its a win for folks who haven't played yet. I played the F*** outta the second game. After i beat FF14 I'll come back for the DLC.

kneon5896d ago

But 360 games sales also tend to drop off really quickly. The sales are mostly front end loaded and so they drop the price sooner to get people buying again. PS3 games tend to have a longer tail, why drop the price if it's still selling at a decent rate?

Jump in to the greatest Sci Fi RPG ever.

El_Colombiano5896d ago

Personally, I liked Knights of the Old Republic better.

kaveti66165896d ago (Edited 5896d ago )

Me too, man. I'm downloading it right now as we speak. I paid Bioware for the Xbox version. I might send them a check for this later on.

Mass Effect - N7 DAY 2025

Bioware writes: "Like you, we’ve heard the rumors lately. You’ve made it clear you care deeply about what’s next. So let’s start by setting the record straight: the next Mass Effect game is in development, and EA and BioWare remain committed to telling more stories in this universe."

I expected nothing and I'm still disappointed

Like with Fallout, it's starting to feel studios are using TV / Film adaptations when they have no game info to talk about.

toxic-inferno200d ago

I feel the same way.

I mean, how difficult would it be for them to release SOMETHING of substance? Another short trailer? A couple of proper hints? A short story set during the original trilogy, but focused on fringe characters?

Hopefully they're working so hard on the game that they don't have time. But still, with every passing year and so little to show, the franchise will be slipping further and further from people's minds.

Profchaos200d ago

Yeah agree it's almost a cop out since Dev times are 5 to 10 years just throw out a few seasons instead you get them done in a year

jznrpg200d ago

I still haven’t beat Andromeda. I am waiting for a lull of good games in my backlog

P_Bomb200d ago

So the TV show will take place after the OG trilogy. I wonder which ending they’ll use?

Rebel_Scum200d ago

Should’ve just posted a picture of an Elcor saying “regretfully, we have nothing to share.”

Bro missing companions: Legion, Grunt, Samara/Morinth, Javik, EDI

anast533d ago

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

RiseNShine533d ago

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast533d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman533d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

anast533d ago

Liam lol I can't stand that dude.

SimpleSlave781d ago

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

DustMan781d ago

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave781d ago (Edited 781d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
