Gamersyde: To begin with, we would like to have some confirmation from you because a lot of people are still wondering if the European release of the game will include the Japanese voice track.
Hironobu Sakaguchi: Not only will you have the Japanese voices but there are also other languages such as English, French, German and Spanish. So you can decide to play with the Japanese voices and then choose the subtitles in your own language.
Gamersyde: Excellent! Blue Dragon sold about 200,000 units in Japan: are you satisfied with the sales so far and what about your expectations for the worldwide sales?
Hironobu Sakaguchi: I think I'm pretty satisfied since we sold about 200,000 packs but we also sold 100,000 games so that's 300,000 total which means that 66% of 360 owners have bought the game. I think it was a successful release.
More after the jump.

Disc 1 of Xbox Game Studios' 2006 role-playing game, Blue Dragon, has been decompiled, and a native PC port is now available.
I've been wanted to revisit the game in the back of my mind for years and this is big. There's still a good handful of 360 games locked to the system I'd love to see now that the seal is broken on decompiling these games.

How Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 continues the legacy of Japanese RPGs that halted with Lost Odyssey on Xbox 360.
I bought an XB360 to play this game. I also played other gems like Blue Dragon, Gears of War, and ES: Oblivion but Lost Odyssey was the precursor and one of the best jRPGs ever.
Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer would like to see the revival of Xbox's Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey Crimson Skies, and more.
What these games need are remasters and to modern platforms. They're all unfortunately stuck on the 360.
Then…remaster / remake them
🤷🏻♂️
After renewed interest you can get Mistwalker to do a sequel to Lost Odyssey
Cool new info, cant wait for Lost Odyssey. I'm still a bit sad that Sakaguchi has left FF and Square. Can wait for LO and Cry On.
was the genius behind the FF universe..hehe
Every since he left, the games have not fared as well. Of course I do love RPG's, and I Can't wait to see how LO will turn out. I'll also be getting Blue Dragon. So the BD games has been able to sell units, is probably the most important thing here, seeing how suky the Xbox plat form does in Japan, but hey if it is better than the Original Xbox then how is it not a positive?
I await the games from this guy, he has vision.
"we sold about 200,000 packs but we also sold 100,000 games so that's 300,000 total which means that 66% of 360 owners"
