"Just recently 2k Australia were kind enough to invite us into their offices to get some hands-on time slapping people in the face, 'reading' some Playboy covers, selling cigarettes from the back of a truck and taking care of some greasers in their upcoming long awaited game Mafia II."

With E3 starting next week, 2K Games revealed the biggest E3 line up they have for the year

GF365: "There are some games with extraordinary visuals that impress us to this day. Here are old games with outstanding graphics."
I always thought the first 3 Gears of War games looked great and still hold up for today.
Far Cry 2 was awesome. In addition to having demonstrably better physics and AI than later games in the series, it had a lot of design decisions that, criticized at the time, have since been praised in games like BOTW and Dark Souls.
It might not be super amazing by today's standard but I thought Mgs3 looked really good

Originally released back in 2010 for last-gen (PS3, Xbox 360) consoles, 2K Games has re-released Mafia 2 as part of the Mafia Trilogy, and has called it the “Definitive Edition.” Now, the question is, does this mafia go for the kill, or does it run out of bullets? Read on for our Mafia 2 Definitive Edition review.
I wonder if it'll be better than the Godfather 2?
Open world games sure have expanded in numbers lately!
So Red Dead Redemption or Mafia 2?
I think RDR.
I was a bit iffy about this initially, but after watching all the vids I gathered, and the various items, this doe sound actually quite good. I'd prefer this over GTAIV any day, the visuals look great, and the plot and storyline are more believeable than the GTAIV series.
For me, Red Dead redemption is still right out there in the front by a long way, but a further 3 months down the track after RDR releases, this could well be a game that does further establish the genre in gamers minds.
BUt another game, less open world, but still very story driven and open world style will be L.L. Nior by Aussie crew Team Bondi.
But this one will only appeal to those who like a real adventure, and definitely not to the run-n-gunners out there. But the detail in THAT game, is going to set benchmarks so high, most other games will have difficulty in reaching it.
damn some of those screens look amazing!
was the first one good? I never played the first
