Blue Toad Murder Files is an excellent addition to the PS3 library of exclusives. It's funny, it's clever and it's unabashedly British. The puzzles are quite diverse and are actually tied into the story of the game, which helps to make each episode flow as a single cohesive unit. The only real problems with the series is that there is little to no replay value in each episode and that the vast majority of point and click Adventure gamers are exclusively PC gamers, so a by being a PS3 exclusive title, it will have a hard time finding its target audience, or an audience in general. Blue Toad Murder Files is definitely part of a niche genre, but for those of you looking for a puzzle or story driven game, each episode of this series will be just what you are looking for. Just remember each one is only an hour long, so it's a quick fix rather than a normal length point and click experience.

Independent studio Relentless Software has removed the mandatory price tag from Murder Files as they kick off a 'pay what you want' campaign, with 20% of proceeds going to charity GamesAid.
CEO Andrew Eades admits it's "an experiment as much as anything" and didn't want price to block PC gamers from discovering Murder Files. This could happen more in the future.

Pocket Gamer: Blue Toad Murder Files doesn't feel like a port of a PS3 game. It feels like a title that's found its rightful home after a couple of years of wandering. The simple gameplay translates perfectly to the touchscreen of your iOS device, and the gentle pace is perfect for an evening spent reclining on the sofa.
It's by no means a perfect game, and there are some issues with load times in particular with this version, but if you're looking for a series of interconnected mini-games held together by comedy stereotypes then you're in for something of a treat.

Relentless Software co-founder Andrew Eades has revealed some very tasty sales figures for Blue Toad Murder Files.
The charming and child-friendly digital-only title has now reached over 500k sales for its episodes, with the number jumping to 827k when free episodes are included.
